"Sure," Hyuuma said, pulling out one of many transceivers from his pocket and turning it on. "Oi, Renais."

There was a pause as the cyborg responded.

"Yeah, we need you over at the Kushinada. Have to scan Matt."

Another pause.

"Yes, he's caused a stir again. Guy wants to know if J's with you."

...

"What do you mean he's not back yet?!"

...

"Augh. Fine."

It was a miracle he didn't crush the transceiver like usual. Hyuuma turned back to Guy. "Renais said she'll be there, but J's still missing in action. You'd think for someone who could move that fast wouldn't take so long."

Guy frowned. That wasn't good. Who knew what would happen if Matt did try to escape without J around?

"Look, I'll go quietly," Matt said. He glanced at Jim. "Not that I have anything to hide."

"Yeah, right," the angry crewmember said. "I bet you were one of them all along!"

"Let's not jump to conclusions. Besides..." Now Matt let a bit of danger crawl into his tone. "If I was one of these godless killing machines, shouldn't I have killed you all by now?"

Jim humphed. "You may be up to somethin' for all we know."

"Have you SEEN me in this thing?" Matt snapped. "I can barely WALK, let alone try to hurt someone!"

"That's enough," Guy called out. "It's clear we don't know what's going on...but until we get some solid answers, I don't Matt means us any harm."

"Go on ahead, Guy," Hyuuma said, motioning for him and Matt to go. "I'll clean up things here."

As the GGG second in command turned to go, he looked about at Jim and the rest of the gathered workers near HyoRyu. "Well, what're you looking at?!" he suddenly , causing them all to flinch and hurry back to their tasks. "Back to work! And get this wreakage out of here! This isn't a damn show!"

"You!" Blazen jumped up in a shout, "We gotta go get that sword back, and kick that guy's ass!" Blazen shouted again, obviously a bit irritated with himself for both losing the sword and the late late start.

Matt exited first on direction from Guy. Well, this was certainly helping matters. He was already the odd one out due to the armor, and now, because of that involuntary shield...how did that even happen, anyway? Did he have any power left? If he did, could he even activate it?

All of these questions...more and more, he just wanted to be left alone.

Under Dr. Liger's direction, Papillon and Entouji were quickly preparing the scanning equipment needed for scanning Matt this time around. They had brought out the Z-Sensor as well. They did not know if the Zonuda emitted Element Z0, under the circumstances of the Zonuda's appearance, scanning had been impossible. There was a chance, however, that the Zonuda's composition was closer to that of a Zonder's, rather than a Primeval.

Either way, Papillon hoped that Matt was not a Zonuda. She didn't think it would even be possible, armor or not. The two of them worked quietly, waiting for Guy to arrive with Matt, and for Mikoto to arrive from the infirmary. There would be another problem: Mikoto was still frightened of Matt. Papillon wasn't sure what to make of that, and the Sensing Mind told her nothing of how the Evoulder would react to Matt if the worse was proven true, and that Matt was also another victim of Pasdar's.

===Germany===

"Well, that'd be fine, but we kind of have a problem there," Kalmar said shortly, spying the redheaded girl approaching Blazen from behind with rapid, almost enthusiastic speed. Before either of them knew it, she was upon the God of Fire, and grabbed him by the back of his jacket and tugged.

"There you are!" she shouted giddily, "I've been waiting for you to get your lazy rear out of bed! Come on, let's go! Got work to do!"

And with that, the girl attempted to drag Blazen along with her, until he could recover enough to walk on his own.

"Christ!" Blazen exclaimed when he was suddenly attacked from behind and dragged until he caught himself. While she still had his jacket and pulled with the same sort of energy that Pyra would show, he was able to jog backwards.

"What?! We got enough work as it is!" Blazen complained, praying god or whatever would grant him mercy that this wouldn't be some back breaking manual labor.

"Hey again," Matt remarked dryly as he entered the room with Guy. He was starting to hate getting scanned, as a matter of fact, but he'd tolerate it this time to prove his innocence.

Guy noticed the Z-Sensor. "The Z-Sensor? Do you think that'll work?"

Papillon gave Matt a sympathetic smile to him as the two entered the room, motioning for him to lay down on the steel table prepared for him. "We're not sure," Entouji said in response to Guy's question, "Since only one Zonuda was ever encountered, and since we were unable to scan it when it did, there's a possibility that it may emit Element Z0, like a Zonder."

===Germany===

Ellie let go of Blazen's jacket as soon as he started walking, looking back at him. "Stop complaining, its hardly like that," she scolded him, "I need to place a tracker on you. Already done it on Kalmar."

As Kalmar followed, he shrugged at Blazen. "She says its so she can get a hold of us when she finds out anything on that bastard. We don't know where he's at, so there's no point in chasing him without any leads, which we don't have."

"But..." Blazen looked around where he was suspiciously, "Why did I need to get moved out here? Can't you just give me it and be done with it? Is it going to hurt? Is it a shot?!" Blazen voice rose and rose until he was shouting, "Fuck that, I'm not getting a shot!" Blazen exclaimed, jumping to conclusions and would then begin to run off.

Matt heaved a sigh. "Scan away, gentlemen," he muttered as he lay down.

Guy gave him a reassuring smile. "Just keep still, all right? It'll be quick."

The scanning would go longer than expected. As the table slid into the scanner, which was thankfully wide enough to accommodate Matt's wingspan, Papillon and Entouji quickly went to work under Dr. Liger's instruction, while Guy and Mikoto watched on. The scanning was difficult to complete, the unique properties of the armor continually interfered with the scanning devices, though they were eventually able to get through the armor, though nothing new could be found of the armor itself.

The Z-Sensor was unable to locate any trace of Element Z0 in Matt's systems or within the armor itself. Papillon noted that this could be because of any number of things: Matt wasn't a Zonuda; a Zonuda did not emit Element Z0 like the Zonders did; the armor was too strong for for the Sensor to work on properly... either way, the ordeal was time-consuming.

Then, the computer made a beeping noise as it encountered something new, a substance completely different from what they were looking for. Papillon's eyes narrowed slightly as the data rolled down the screen of her computer.

Traces of blood were detected on the right gauntlet.

"Dr. Liger," she said softly, turning towards the eccentric scientist. "You need to see this."

===Germany===

Kalmar's hand shot out and grabbed Blazen by the shoulder. "It's just some more magic weaves from the Pillar," he said, "It won't bother us. It didn't give me any problems, even with my... attributes."

His mutated hand, covered by his armor, flexed slightly as he clenched his hand.

"Oh..." Blazen glanced between the two, "I knew that." Blazen lied with a shrug then fully turned to Ellie.

"Ok, hit me with your best shot, babe." Blazen said, obviously much more calmed. That shot thing scared him.

"Oh?" Liger walked over to Papllion's computer, cast a keen eye at it. "Hmmmm..."

"What is it?" Matt asked.

"There seems to be traces of blood on your armor," Liger said. "On the right gauntlet."

The right gauntlet...?

Releasing a blade, its right fist smashed into R.D.'s abdomen, with a blow far beyond anything Matt had thrown.

He remembered it all too well.

He wish he hadn't.

"...any idea where it came from?" Matt asked.

"No," Liger replied. "Do you?"

"No."

Mikoto just stared.

She knew.

"We'll have to inspect it later," Papillon said, continuing the examination of the armor. "For now, let's try to--"

She was cut off as Entouji's console beeped, signalling new data on the blood trace it had found. The data rolled down the screen. Perplexed, Entouji scratched at his scalp a bit. "Er, the computer says its encountered a DNA match with the blood sample. We have a 100% match on record in the database."

===Germany===

"Wait until we get to the Pillar first, Hotshot," Ellie said, looking back at him while her long red hair swished behind her. After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the rocky bowl that held the totem. It pulsed brightly with the sun as Ellie neared it, and she quickly opened herself up to its power, drinking it in. She gathered the necessary flows and weaved them through the God of Fire, tying them off into a neat weaving of a tracker. Blazen didn't even feel a thing.

Now to have a little fun! Ellie thought giddily.

She lifted up her hand, a syringe held in place. She squeezed on it slightly, causing a clear fluid to jump out of the comically long needle. "So, now that you're ready for your shot..." she said, trailing off with a devious grin as she looked at Blazen pointedly.

Matt sat up without realizing it. "What?"

"Saw that coming." Blazen laughed, not at all affected by her 'threat'. Although that energy, despite feeling nothing, Blazen did indeed feel a bit energy, nice pleasant energy. Along with that feeling of being watched. He couldn't help but glance over his shoulder, but quickly returned back to keep that needle away from his arm.

Papillon stood up and approached the terminal her boyfriend worked at, and read the data. Touching him lightly on the shoulder, she had Entouji click on the link to the profile the DNA match was linked to. It soon loaded the profile, which included the face of a green-eyed young man of roughly seventeen years. His face was adorned with an disgruntled scowl, as if he didn't care for having his picture taken. She looked over the file, reading its contents.

She did not recognize the picture, and the reason was not lost on her. The file on the boy was around the time of when the Four Machine Kings, under the guidance of Pasdar, had terrorized the G-Island District on Earth, well before the time she herself had joined the Gutsy Galaxy Guard. She looked around at Guy and Mikoto. "I don't recognize this person," she stated quietly, face inquiring, "Do any of you?"

===Germany===

"Aww," Ellie pouted, dismissing the object from her hand, "You're no fun."

"And you're a bitch," Blazen said back boldly, knowing all too well that, knowing woman, and especially ones like Ellie, that, that comment would come back and bite him in the ass somehow. He wore a very proud and cocky grin and while he almost was waiting for some intense pain, he would take it head on.

"Anyway," Blazen then began, trying to get back on track, "we still gotta get that sword. So tell us where to go and we'll be there." Blazen said dutifully.

Guy's eyes widened when he saw the picture. "...that's RD!"

"RD?" Liger repeated, glancing at the file. "Ahhhh, so THAT'S the RD Leo told me so much about!"

"...RD..." Matt laid back down. It made sense now.

Mikoto took a step back. She remembered RD as well...and she saw him suffer underneath the fury of...

She-she couldn't be here any longer!

As she turned and ran out the door, Guy noticed. "Mikoto!" he called after her, raising a hand. "What's wrong?!"

Liger frowned. Peculiar. Did RD's file somehow scare the girl? "Better go after her, Guy. We'll finish up here."

"Right!" With that, the Evoulder ran out as well.

This didn't make sense. Papillon examined R.D.'s file once more, more thoroughly this time. There was nothing physically separating R.D. from any other human, despite the fact that he somehow had the ability to produce and channel large amounts of energy, as well as demonstrating physical capabilities on par with Guy, during his days as a G-Stone cyborg. He had been accompanied by a small group of others, and had spent a brief time at GGG, helping engage them against one particular Zonder before leaving as mysteriously as they came. She'd have to examine the file later. Did Matt know R.D.?

Only one way to find out...

The woman stood up and approached Matt on the table. "Matt?" she asked softly. "Did you know this R.D.?"

===Germany===

"Yeah, yeah, I'll keep ya posted. Just don't get killed... again," Ellie said, adding that last bit after a brief pause. "You guys are free to go."

"But WHERE?" Blazen asked, emphasizing the word 'but' highly...or was it where?

Matt didn't answer right away.

"...no."

Papillon paused at Matt's answer. The Sensing Mind told her that what Matt said wasn't truth. But there was still something missing to all of this. She needed to find it first. So, the blue-haired woman didn't press Matt. "Alright," she said, then turned back to Dr. Liger. "I don't think we'll find anything else for today. For now, we should just let him go. I do not believe Matt poses a threat to anyone."

===Germany===

"I don't KNOW," Ellie shot back just as quick. "We don't know anything about this guy, so we don't know where he is. Go find something entertaining to do in the meantime."

She began shooing them away. "Come on. I have stuff I need to be doing. And I can't help you guys find him if you keep on bugging me about where he is."

"Oy...women..." Blazen muttered and began away, "Always making me do the dirty work." He walked a bit, scratching his head and taking one last glance at the mountain. Fucking mountain, dragon-thing and guy-who-took-sword. Fuck...He walked, aimlessly, unable to think of what to do. He turned to Kalmar after a second.

"You got an idea as to where to go?" He asked, clueless.

"I also believe that," Liger said. "Still, I think I should speak with the commander. Matt may not mean any harm, but I'm sure the crewmembers are growing more suspicious of him..."

Matt sat back up and turned away. "I'll be glad to stay out of everyone's way, to be honest," he said. "I...I kinda need to do some thinking, anyway."

Liger nodded. "Very well. Papllion, can you escort him back to his room?"

"Alright," Papillon said, nodding. She motioned for Matt to follow her and guided him out of the room. They walked slow, as Papillon decided to observe how Matt acted. And, for his own safety and state of mind, she escorted him around the main work camp, rather than straight through it, to the J-Ark and into its depths.

Once they reached his room, she turned to him and gave him a concerned look. "Are you alright?" she asked, tilting her head to the side a little.

===Germany===

Kalmar crossed his arms in front of his chest, an awkward but manageable task, considering his right arm. "Not at the moment. But I do have an idea of what we can do," he said, looking thoughtful. "Before we met, I got caught up in a harsh battle... and I have a score to settle now."

He couldn't bear to look at her, at those eyes. They reminded him of other eyes that he had grown to love, eyes he'd never see again.

Could he say? Was it wise? What would she think of him? He'd hate to have to disappoint her...

But he wasn't sure he could keep it in any longer.

"...no." He turned away. "No, I'm not."

Papillon laid a hand on the shoulder portion of Matt's fearsome armor. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked.

"Fine, I'm willing to help if you'd appreciate it." Blazen offered with a shrug. He then suddenly drew out Valermos, it blazing to life instantly.

"Besides, I want to use this baby a bit more." Blazen grinned, as he spun the fire sword a bit.
