Something was coming behind him, he felt. No matter. R.D. expected the woman to reflect the attack back at him, and the Giga Drill worked perfectly again; easily absorbing the energy back into the drill bit. As the flare of energy from the absorption dissipated, he could see the woman practically in his face, but he had deactivated the thrusters halfway through the absorption. He waved.

"Bye," he said, and then plummeted. In his place... was the massive tail of a Bronze Dragon as it spun around and swept it at the metallic woman with twice the force of the speed she was going. Her tackle may have been like being hit by a Mack truck, but the tail swipe of a Bronze Dragon hurt far, far worse.

As R.D. fell, he let his empowered Giga Drill lead the way, and he zeroed in on the wolf being, just as he sent Juno flying back with a strong attack. He flipped in midair and swung the Giga Drill in a vicious vertical strike, flinging the converted Crysis shot right at the creature's open backside.

R.D. swore as he saw the converted Crysis blast impact against the wolf, but did minimal damage with the blast. He landed hard in the snow, bracing himself for the impact. He frowned when the creature talked. I annoy everybody. Why should you be any different? he thought sarcastically. Then that woman was there, and he swore. This was going south, quick. He readied the drill bit as the two switched and the wolf--Zekter?--was now his opponent.

Thank Lumiya for unnatural speeds. He was able to block the first two attacks with the reduced Giga Drill, then swung with a Godhand-enhanced fist at Zekter, the bright energy increasing his strength tenfold. He didn't care if it hit or miss, he followed up by leaping upwards and letting fly with a spin kick as he retracted the Giga Drill, leaving his right hand free again.

You're kidding. Meta replied to Sin telepathically as she slid backwards, stirring up small clouds of rock dust. Her feet felt hot, and her surroundings were as dark as herself. Her eyes needed to get used to it still, but she figured that the demon would have some trouble locating her as well. Still, she shouldn't assume it would. These guys really like to mess with anything they come across, don't they? Next thing you know they are going to rape the Big Bang as well.

"Agh!" R.D. cried out as Zekter's claws began to glow, much like the Godhand attack. Only a quick, brief burst of Chaos Control's time power prevented more than just his armor being slashed open. He backpedaled away from the creature after the twelfth slash chewed open his curiass. He spread his legs out quickly and readied himself for combat, pulling out a Phase Blade and readying his shield, a Chaos Emerald gripped in his shield hand. He glared at the creature once, causing his eyes to glow yellow through the visor for a brief second, then pushed forward and disappeared in a flash of green light.

Time slowed to a crawl around Zekter as R.D. worked his powers, and he appeared instantly beside him, thrusting out with a side kick, following it up by spinning around completely and attacking with the Phase Blade three times, and ending it with a brutal punch using his shield aimed at Zekter's snout. Finally, he leaped backwards while arming the hip cannons and swinging them into position, firing them both at close range.

R.D. landed on the snow with ease as the ice wall blocked his shots, then cried out in surprise as it exploded. He brought the shield up and activated its barrier system, but many of the shots streaked past and cut into his weakened armor before he could get into place, leaving small gashes in his skin. Growling, he slashed his blade through the air twice to warm himself back up, then brought his sword-hand up and motioned for Zekter to come at him, like a challenge.

Matt kept gazing out of the viewscreen, momentarily distracted. It was weird...out of all the places he visited, he never saw snow until now. A part of him wondered if it meant something, like always.

Soon Renais's words began reaching his ears and he turned back, readying for action.

As the crew, along with J, filed out of the J-Bird through a port-side hatch, Renais looked up at the dark sky and held her metallic hand out, letting snowflakes fall on her. However, the heat generated by her body melted them to water before they ever touched the gauntlet, and she let it fall to her side and put it back in her pocket.

"All of you be careful," she said, turning to the crew, with Soldato-J standing off to the side with his arms folded. "The 11 Sol Masters have left us traps before. They could've left traps at Chasseur as well. So all of you... don't do anything stupid."

A serious frown crossed Matt's face. All of his travels taught him to remain cautious, and he wouldn't let go of that instinct now. He folded his arms too, as snow settled on his jagged structure.

R.D.'s eyes widened, and he stabbed the Phase Blade into the snow, giving him a chance to catch the Ancient before he was bowled over by him. Setting him upright, he made a quick, quiet whisper to him that only Juno could hear. "Cover me," he said, readying a Chaos Emerald.

===France, Repli-Earth===

"Let's go," Renais commanded, turning and moving off in a certain direction. "We don't have far to go."

The crew quickly followed the cyborg woman, trailed by J in the back, who was calmly looking around the cold city, his eyes ever vigilant as Renais led them to the anti-terrorist organization's base.

Underneath the armor he tensed, and he imagined strange creatures or villanious terrorists leaping out of thin air to challenge them. Of course, it didn't happen...yet.

It did not take GGG long to locate the Chasseur base, located underground. Renais motioned for everyone to stand back as the entire section of street shifted and retracted backwards, revealing a metallic ramp. When it finished, she lead them down the ramp, stopping at a large set of steel blast doors. Renais reached into the pocket of her cooling coat and produced some hand-held device, of which she pressed a button on. Immediately, the doors rumbled to life, shuddering as they pulled off to the sides to allow access.

"This is so awesome," Matt remarked, clenching his fists in front of him with excitement. "I feel like I'm a spy."

"Giga... Drill...!"

R.D. held his arm high in the air as the energy drill retracted back into his body, causing the massive silver drill bit to extend from his hand, almost twice his height, and expand outwards rapidly with a shockwave of intense power. He swung the Giga Drill down across the side and aimed it in front of him, the tip aimed directly at Bullet and her metallic body.

"BREEEAAAAKKAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!"

The Giga Drill spun rapidly, R.D. shoved off of the ground and flew forward, green flame exploding around the back of the Giga Drill and propelled him forward, flying in at insane speeds. But just moments before the Giga Drill would strike the woman... R.D. and the giant drill disappeared in a flash of green light and a sound of thunder.

That same flash of light blazed right next to Zekter, blindingly close to his left side. Waves of chronomancy power raged around him, slowing time as the Giga Drill exploded out of the maelstrom of Chaos Control, with R.D. pushing it through at breakneck speeds, his drill threatening to pierce right through the wolf's side.

===France, Repli-Earth===

The opened blast doors revealed another chamber, an exit/entry checkpoint for vehicles owned by Chasseur. Renais remembered going through this passage countless times... it looked like this time, it'd be the last. She guided them over to some double doors, these ones meant for humans. Again, out of nowhere it seemed, Renais produced a keycard and swiped it through a keypad reader off to the side.

The doorway made a buzzing noise, and refused to open. Everything was silent. Renais swiped the card again, receiving the same result. She groaned. "Don't tell me those idiots erased my clearance when I got transferred..."

J stepped up to the woman, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Allow me," he said, causing her to step to the side. J brought his left arm up to chest level, and the two red claw-like protrusions at the wrist of the gauntlet suddenly slid together and touched, and J ripped them out in a single, smooth motion, producing a red hilt emitting a powerful, glowing blade of energy. With impressive speed, his weapon sheared the air and cut through the metal doorways, and two pieces of door fell inward, creating a large passageway for the people to enter.

As Renais stepped through, J deactivated his Radiant Ripper and returned the energy sword back beneath the gauntlet holding his J-Jewel.

"I can do that," Matt gibed to another crew memeber as they passed through. "But I don't wanna."

Still, J's strike was pretty impressive...wonder if he was as good with that blade when he was Pizza?

"With my keycard useless, we'll need to split up," Renais said, leading them deeper into the base. "One group will need to find the command center and unlock everything in here, while the other group helps me find the armory. All of the technicians with us will head to the command center. J's in charge. Matt, the rest of you, with me. We'll head to the armory. I'll need some of you to get loader trucks ready so we can get the parts outside."

J nodded to Renais and began heading off in one direction; it seemed he already knew the layout of the base. The technicians in the group began following him, leaving the remaining members with Renais and Matt. "Ready to go?" she asked.

Matt made a curt nod. "Lead the way."

It took ten minutes for J's team to arrive at the command center for the Chasseur base, his energy blade making short work of the doorways that barred their progress. The technicians quickly made their way to the computer terminals and powered them up, and within minutes were unlocking the passageways and clearing the defensive instruments lurking within the darkened hallways.

Renais' eyes adjusted automatically as the lights suddenly flashed on, illuminating the accessways of the base, while the others were forced to shield their eyes from the sudden transition. Overhead, a speaker crackled to life. "Renais," J's voice sounded through it, "Everything is clear. You may proceed when ready."

"Thanks!" Renais said, lifting a hand in gratitude towards the camera near the speaker. "Let's go, guys," she said, ushering the group forward.

Matt performed a small salute to the camera as well. All right, they were in.

Still...why did he feel that something was amiss?

Renais first lead them into a large, warehouse-like area. Three large trucks, each with massive loading beds, were lined up on one wall. "Go get those started," Renais ordered, pointing at the vehicles, "And bring them over to that loading bay. The armory's just behind those doors."

As the crewmembers made their way to the vehicles, Renais looked up at a nearby camera. "J, I need the armory doors open."

After a moment or two, the massive steel doors shuddered and began to open, and the speaker crackled to life. "The computer says the armory's contents are accounted for, Ms. Shishioh," a technician informed her over the system. "Pathways are cleared for transport... now."

Opposite the armory doors, another set of blast doors rumbled to life and began to open, revealing a long passageway that had other opening blast doors within them.

(OOC: 'k. Also, is Mister Obvious Demon going to do anything anytime soon?)
