"Ohhhh, yeah. Guy told me about that. Yeah, that, uh...that might be a problem." A shrug. "Then again, who knows? Get a haircut, chop the nose down a bit...it should work." He glanced at J. "Plastic surgery, not...not actually chopping your nose off."

Soldato-J merely looked at Matt. "I am a cyborg, Matt," he said, finally looking back at the ruins. "I would have to alter my design to make that work."

"Really?" If Guy had mentioned that J was a cyborg, Matt obviously forgot about it by now. He looked human enough, how was he supposed to know? "Well, can't you, like, take your face off and-you know what, I dunno." He made a small hand gesture of defeat. "I'm just sayin'."

"No," J said, shaking his head. "I retain many biological systems, but my skeleton structure is not one of them. Renais' systems as a cyborg are different, and Guy is no longer a cyborg, it seems. Their appearances can be altered through surgical means much more effectively than mine can."

J looked back towards the J-Ark and the GGG camp. "The next training shift will be starting soon," he said to his companion. "We should return."

"Yeah, let's go." Matt began walking back toward camp. "I so look foward to being thrown on the ground like some sort of practice dummy."

Like usual, J could not tell if Matt was joking or not. He looked back at the ruins one last time before walking alongside the armored boy.

Training went as usual. Matt often made contact with Sweet Lady Floor during it. A part of him wondered if Renais really took pleasure in throwing him around. It helped that he wasn't really hurt by it, he guessed, due to the armor. If Hugo could, he probably would've thrown Matt around a long time ago.

Soon it was time to catch some rest before the next shift. In his solitary quarters, Matt flopped down on his bed, pushed near the center of the room to allow him some room for the wingspan. It wasn't like he was going to sleep. He hadn't really slept since he first woke up in the lab. Still, it was a good way to shut his mind down for a bit and not think so much about, well, stuff.

Mmmmm.

Something was up.

He sat back up and left the room. The metal clanked underneath his feet as he descended the ramp. His eyes scanned the skyline in the distance, and for a minute, he stood there again observing it.

Nothing.

He didn't like that.

R.D. braced himself for impact as Keiser rushed in, and he was slammed backwards as the black form smashed into his upraised, defending arms. He quickly righted himself in mid-air, his red body glowing brighter as more and more energy was channeled. The white symbol on his forehead blazed, and R.D. turned to face Keiser, staring up at him. There was a crushing sound as he broke the sound barrier with his next movement, disappearing in a flash as struck out with his right hand, grabbing at one of the spikes and quickly snapping it downward to fling the entire being directly at the icy ground.

Papillon was approaching the lowered ramp of the J-Ark, having completed a the new programming for Goldymarg, to make his body compatible with Genesic GaoGaiGar, back within the research facilities of the Kushinada. She raised a hand in greeting as she spotted Matt, saying a soft "Hello," as she approached.

Matt smiled. "Hey! I haven't seen you around lately. What've you been up to?"

R.D.'s body disappeared in a flash of green light as he activated Chaos Control, disappearing from out of the wrapped spikes. He seemed nowhere to be found, and then suddenly the objects maintaining Tech's barrier suddenly exploded as black spheres surrounded by white light--Annihilator Beams--smashed into them, causing annihilation as they struck. The barrier failed in an instant, and even more of the Annihilator Beams curved in from random directions as they homed in on Keiser. As they flew in, R.D. suddenly appeared on the ground, red hands cupped together as a torrent of light and darkness gathered into them.

Light and shadow mixed into sonic power as R.D. unleashed the Sonic Boom at Keiser, warping the light around the spiked being into something akin to a broken pane of glass.

"There's been much work to do," Papillon replied, "Between reprogramming Galeon and the Genesic Machines, and programming the new connection function into Goldymarg."

Goldymarg's construction was complete, but the A.I. had yet to be reinstalled, as the new programming had to be made so GaoGaiGar can once again wield the mighty Goldion Hammer. The work had been demanding, and it took Mikoto, Swan, Entouji, herself, and Dr. Liger to complete in a timely manner. "I'm sorry we haven't spoken lately," Papillon continued. "We were released a short while ago and I decided to come see how you were doing."

"The shift just ended," Matt said. "But...I dunno." He looked back out toward the ruins. "Somethin' don't feel right. And take it from me-when something starts actin' up, there's trouble afoot."

R.D. had shot backwards after firing the Sonic Boom at Keiser, which had never reached the entity when the counterattack was used. He skid back in the snow before disappearing with Chaos Control, and all was silent for many moments with his absence.

Then, far off in the distance, there was a loud booming noise.

R.D. streaked in as a massive red blur, going much more faster than Keiser's attacks were going. A red aura emanated from him as he plowed through the sky, a Giga Drill leading the way. The gigantic drill was coated in the red power of Overdrive, and he streaked at the heart of the mass of black weaponry, intending to pierce right through.

Papillon stilled for a moment. "Are you sure?" she asked, concerned. She had spoken to Renais about it; she had said that Matt had felt the first creature's appearance before she even did. Matt's senses on the matter were no exaggeration, like much of his claims were.

Thunder crashed as the two drills collided with one another, and the wind whipped the frozen land of Antarctica with a vengeance. The friction of the two drills created lightning that blasted out from the tips, shredding at the snows, forcing anyone nearby to defend or take cover. R.D.'s drill was dwarfed by Keiser's, but he continued to press forward against the massive weapon.

It was building up. Tension hung in the air as the two powers clashed, as more and more energy built up between the two of them. The grinding of drills was growing louder and louder as the emerald flame erupting from the back of the Giga Drill grow larger and larger.

"Yeah." Matt turned toward Papllion. "Still, we've done everything we can. Whenever they come, we're ready."

Papillon nodded. "So, how have you been?" she asked him.

"I've been good. You?"

They talked for a while. Matt's mind couldn't entirely focus on the conversation, due to his instinctive paranoia, but he tried. After all, Papllion was the first person he really got to know when he came here, so she held a higher spot on Matt's list of people to stay acquinated with. Not that he didn't think the other crewmemebers were good people, but...well, in these kinds of situations, things like that happened.

He stretched, and glanced back toward the city yet again. "Well, I figure I'm gonna head back to the room. Where are you headed to now?"

"I'll be heading back to the Kushinada in a moment," Papillon replied. "We'll need to upload the new programming into Goldymarg's frame before we can attempt an activation."

"I'll walk you back-"

Matt swiveled around, as a wash of silver darted across the earth. In mid-rush, it leapt up, reforming into one of the skeletal monsters he saw in France, leaping at him with a slashing limb.

Matt's fist shot out and blew through the creature's head, sending it down without too much trouble.

That was when the rest of the silver puddles appeared, a fairly large group of them, and rose to take form.

"Shit," Matt said.

Papillon let out a shriek and tumbled back as the creature attacked, falling hard onto the dirt ground as Matt struck at the creature's head and killed it. She quickly pulled herself up as the others appeared and looked about in surprise and a little bit of fear.

"These are... those creatures??"

"Get back to the Kushinada!" Matt shouted. No way he could fight all those things-he seized Papllion's arm and pulled as he ran. On cue, the monsters began to pursue.

(OOC: I said before; I can't post before Mega X. Please don't rush me on this; I'll get to it eventually.)

Papillon nodded and ran with Matt, trying to outdistance the creatures in pursuit. Even as they ran, there was a whistling sound in the air, and then the ground exploded beneath the feet of the silvery creatures, blooming out fire as the missile detonated.

Atop a nearby structure, Renais discarded the rocket launcher, pulling out a gun from god knows where. She trained the weapon on the beasts and began firing as she leaped off of the building, already having Equipped for battle.

The monsters folded under Renais's gunfire, but easily pulled themselves back together and continue to shamble toward the Kushinada.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!" Matt barreled as fast as he could go in his armor, leading Papllion up the ship's ramp. He was moving so fast and focused on preferably not dying when he bumped right into Guy.

"What's going on?" Guy shouted.

"Those monsters are attacking!" Matt said. "Renais is trying to hold them off, you gotta help her!"

Guy's eyes narrowed. "Go find Uncle Liger and the Commander!" He ran out of the Kushinada to join the desperate fray.

(OOC: As I said, I'll get around to it. Don't worry so much.)

"Find the commander," Papillon said to Matt. "I have to help Dr. Liger prepare the weapon."

By now, Renais had drawn another gun and had been shooting each repeatedly to hold off the creatures. She wished she had a minigun right now. Looking off to the side, she spotted Guy coming out of the Kushinada. "About time!" she shouted, looking back and blasting another creature that got too close. "Get your ID Armor and the the Mobile Unit ready!"

"Right!" Guy leapt straight up. "EEEEEEEEQUIP!"

Glowing pieces of armor rushed toward him, released from dimensional tesseracts, and circled about his body. All at once, they attached, and the symbol of the G-Stone-a stylized "G" in the shape of a diamond-burned bright green on his left hand.

He lifted his right brace to his mouth. "Mobile Unit!" A emerald visor materialized over his eye. "Deploy!"
