The great fire demon charged at the man and swung at him with incredible speed and power, but the swordsman easily blocked it and even shoved him back. The stranger dashed at Bruno at nigh sonic speeds and slashed at his torso, but Bruno was able to block the attack and even turn around in time to protect himself from the young man's next slash.
"Well, you aren't as slow as you look." The swordsman commented.
"And you're not as weak as you look." He quipped as he glared down at the silver-haired man, their blades rubbing against each other and causing sparks to fly as they struggled to push each other away.
With a final thrust from both of them the two combatants flew backward several yards, each of them landing firmly on their feet. Not an instant was wasted; the two charged back into battle and threw one attack after another, neither one of them able to make good contact. It appeared as though they were evenly matched, but it only appeared that way to a common observer, but to Bruno he was losing.
~This boy... He's moving at speeds that I can just match. He's broken the sound barrier with some of his slashes and kicks, and moved so quick that I could barely keep my eye on him, and yet I feel as though he's toying with me.~ He thought to himself as he and the swordsman stood in one position throwing one slash after another, moving so fast and using so much power that the ground under them was cracking and mighty winds were blowing around that were strong enough to topple your average man. ~Smirking... He's still smirking at me.~ Bruno growled in anger, and then lunged back and into the air while raising his left hand above his head. "Demi Bomb!!" He exclaimed as he threw a Demi Bomb down at the stranger.
"Foolish freak." He muttered, and then suddenly he was behind the demon and thrusting his blade through his back.
The great fire demon's eyes widened and he grit his teeth while letting out a grunt of pain. With a sick smile on his face the stranger removed his sword from Bruno's body, and allowed the monster to fall to the ground. The swordsman landed gracefully behind Bruno, flicked the blood off of his sword, and then sheathed it.
"How sad... I really expected more from you. I could sense a power within you, freak, that I'd not felt in many of my other victims." The silver-haired man chuckled slightly. "Perhaps we'll get a chance to do battle again some day." He said as he walked past Bruno. "Assuming you live." He added in a mocking manner, and then dashed off toward the mountains with great swiftness.
"It will take more than that..." Bruno said in a grunt as he slowly rose up, flames coming from his wound. "To kill me." The demon stood up straight and watched as the man faded in distance. "We'll meet again, stranger."
