The strange darkness that emerged from the unknown entity ate away at weapons, shields, tents, and yes, bodies. Most of the demon spiders were taken aback, unsure of what to do. What could be done about an attack that devours anything it touches?
“Fool!” Trevla shouted. “Initiate the dark nullification process!”
“General Trevla, what is going on, sir?” Another demon spider said as he crashed down beside Trevla. He was slightly shorter than Trevla, but just as bulky. His coloring was dark gray and greatly resembled a wolf spider. His eyes were red as blood, and his claws matched well. He wore a red metallic chest plate with spiked shoulder armor attached. On his head he had a Spartan style helmet, but where the brush would be there was a row of 18-inch spikes. Finally, he wore gauntlets on his arms with small blades on the forearms.
“Colonel Wolf.” Trevla thought aloud. “Your timing could not be better. Lead a unit into the dark nullification process.”
“Yes sir.” Col. Wolf replied, and then vanished with incredible speed.
After positioning a great number of warriors in a tiny amount of time, Wolf and the unit surrounded the stranger, and gathered energy with great swiftness. Their bodies glowed black, and then red, and then… “Cast the web!” Col. Wolf bellowed, and then an instant later web lines shot overhead from every member of the unit, forming a web large enough to engulf the attack, which it did. Upon touching the attack the web did not vanish, but rather the attack did. This bizarre black web seemed to be able to cancel out even anti-matter.
“Perfectly executed, Colonel.” Trevla thought out loud. “Now what will you do?”
“Capture the hostile!” Col. Wolf ordered, and then web lines came from nearly every direction in an attempt to subdue Zane.

~Is this Azaleas completely mad? Why would he risk the world like that? Our odds of defeating Ziatoch in a head-to-head fight would be better than the odds of us capturing R.D. before him.~ Donovan thought to himself.
“What?!” He exclaimed upon hearing about the attack on Gouki’s forces. “How in the…? What are these Corruptors? Are they organic or mechanical?” He asked quickly, but seemingly calm as well.
“I’d not worry about Azaleas. He posses all the power my Master once bore. He has more than enough power to destroy this galaxy and Ziatoch along with it. Nevertheless, I think you’re right that it would be wise to keep up appearances. I’ll send the majority of my forces to aid Gouki and guard the palace. As for the inter-dimensional travel…I might know somebody who can help you with that; I just hope she’s at home.”
The next thing out of R.D.’s mouth was a bit startling. R.D. knew the power of The Seven—he had battled Sheena and won. So, for him to say that this
thing Ziatoch had was superior to
Carnax it meant that
everybody was going to be in serious trouble if things didn’t start going in favor of the good guys, and
soon.
“Carnax and Hydro will most likely be the two appointed to deal with that threat, but if things get too bad I may need to intervene.” He said mainly to himself, and then reached into his cloak and pulled out a long and narrow piece of paper with Japanese writing on both sides. “Do not lose this, Rising Dragon.
This will take you to the one who can travel dimensions. Go to the eastern most beach of Japan and cast it on the water.” Donovan handed the paper to R.D., a stern look on his face. “Now, pay close attention… Follow the fireflies and eat of the fruit. Go to the tree and pick up the root. Tell no lies and draw no sword. Offer your sacrifice and reap the reward.” He paused shortly, and then turned and walked away. “It will make sense…later.” With that said the swordsman quickly turned blacker than night, and grew and morphed until he was back to his 12 story high monstrous form. “I shall give my forces strict orders not to hinder or harm you, but you understand that I can’t have them openly aid you, at least until Azaleas is defeated.”
