R.D. gave Matt a sidelong glance. Was he dropped on his head shortly after birth? he thought idly.

He leaned against the rail along with Matt. "Not quite," he said, "I wasn't completely honest with you about Ondal."

Noticing Matt's look, R.D. continued. "He said that sometime before I lost my memories, someone put some sort of weapon inside me. He called it 'Lumiya.'"

R.D. sighed and stood. "He said it was a weapon beyond human comprehension. They gathered twelve fragments of it, brought them together inside of me, and locked it behind seven ciphers," he explained, "And they locked it away because if I tried using its full might right away, I'd only succeed in destroying you, me, and the rest of this forsaken planet."

With a blast, Morph shot out of the temple through the thick wall. He had managed to escape the hideous thing once, but it had caught up with him again and punched him through the wall. The creature retracted it's massive fist and put it's head through the hole and let out a roar-like, loud kind of shriek.

Morph got up and looked back at the temple and the monster. He grinned. "Well, at least I have got the piece! So, HAH!" He laughed and pointed at the creature, on which it roared again and started trying to break the wall further apart to fit through.

"Yanno, I think I'll be leaving now..." Morph decided, and he ran away. He did not got too far, however, because he tripped. He screamed, but... he did not feel the ground. He was floating in the air... flying.

"Oh yeah!" He exclaimed happily and flew off in the direction of the next arrow.

(OOC: SHE WILL HAUNT YOUR DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES!!)

~With Morph, in the Nightmare Realm, where the dead do not sleep... wait, since when do the dead actually sleep?~

Morph landed a bit away from the temple. He looked up at the large building, and then to his compass. This was indeed the place.

"Well, no point in messing around. Let's go." He said to noone in particular and walked towards the temple.

As he neared it, he saw a figure standing in front of the temple. Morph raised an eyebrow as he got closer to the building and the figure. When he was standing about a dozen yards away, he stopped and raised his hand. "Yo." He greeted the man.

(OOC: Reckoning? =P Well, he's dead, so he can be there. But... wait? I'm not busy trying to restore Akumu's soul, am I? o_O)

Matt certainly knew a lot about weapons beyond human comprehension that would destroy the world at full power. It seemed that R.D. and he were a lot similar after all...

"Sounds like a pretty crazy weapon," Matt remarked.

(OOC: Thanks for getting my spirits up again, Zane. I appreciate that so very much.

R.D. nodded and looked out to see. "Pretty much. And now I believe him when he said that it could kill me. You saw what happened after we killed that freak."

"R.D! How far is this island supposed to be!?" Alasea shouted in frustration to him.

"How the hell am I supposed to know!?" the amnesiac teen shouted back.

He stood up, shook his head, and laughed. "Maybe we'll have something decent to use against long, tall, and ugly when he shows up to fulfill his promise."

The civilions dead, the ammo gone, the base lost. Bryant and Veronica were face to face with the army of demons before them. Both were in fighting positions, blood dripping down thier lips and nose. Bruises covered thier faces and body. Though thier bodies were damaged thier will and spirit more than made up for that. As the demons, who hungered for eaches blood lunged at them. Bryant and Veronica hit them away with a number of powerful, yet still limited combos, merely hurting them, not so much as killing a one.
"Veronica?" Bryant said as the demons and the duo had a moment of a stare down.
"Bryant?" Veronica responded.
"Remember the old days? When neither of us thought that the end would come in battle? That we were too skilled for anything on hell or earth to beat us? When we were so foolish?" There was pause.
"Yeah?" Veronica responded silently. Bryant smiled.
"Wanna react those days?" Bryant asked again as the shadows of the demons came upon them.
"Sure." Veronica said strongly back. "Let's go." The demons lunged at them all at once. Bryant and Veronica linked to eachother at the elbows. Bryant swung Veronica around, with her kicking the demons, making them slam into thier comrades. Bryant threw Veronica into the air as he back thrust kicked, uppercutted, and elbowed three demons. Veronica dropped down gracefully in the middle of the group and sweep kicked down several others. They continued useing wacky tacits, most involveing Bryant throwing Veronica around, makeing a path to the door of the base. They threw it open and closed it behind them. The demons were stuck, but for only a moment. As they crashed through the door, and ripped through the walls, destroying the base. They found no trace of the duo.

Naze was also takeing care of some demons as he made his way through the country, absorbing the darkness they provided. He simply blasted them to oblivion or knocked the darkness out of them with a powerful hit. Either way he was still growing stronger. The dark mist in him, still breatheing around him as it came out and in. These demons were more of an annoyance now, than game. They barely were a suitable snack for his never ending hunger for darkness. Though still, one ounce of darkness was better than no darkness. He was wipeing clean the nation of demons that threatened him with thier never ending attacks and crowds. Naze feasted on the small samples of darkness they had given to him, though he was never nearly satisfied.

Matt clenched his fist. "Don't worry...I'll make sure to take Rugal down next time."

"We'll have to make sure we're ready for the bastard next time," R.D. said, "From what I saw, either you weren't your best yesterday when we fought him, or Bison was an absolute pussy."

===At the island===

Re-Tuul circled the old battlefield slowly, remembering what had happened there. One claw drifted to the old scar in his stomach.

"Surprise, surprise, Dragon," he murmured, "You did well against Hydro's toy..."

"... but can you face the real horrors of this island?"

Laughing, the Khaglessi Re-Tuul drifted down to the island.

"It was Communism," Matt concluded.

R.D. gave Matt an unamused look.

"Land ho!" Alasea shouted, catching their attention. R.D. went up to the front of yacht and leaned over the rail. Sure enough, they could see the outline of what looked to be an expansive tropical island.

R.D. grabbed some binoculars that they'd found onboard, and used it to view the island. There seemed to be some old ruins further into the island, but otherwise the place looked untouched... significant, considering the shape of the rest of the world.

(I had stated that Bryant and Veronica were in Japan, and I would have said if naze had moved. He's in American still, making his way around.)

"I'll go notify everyone," Matt said, walking off.

R.D. walked off to the cabin he'd been resting in earlier. He rummaged through the drawers, looking for something better to wear, seeing how his original outfit had been ruined by Rugal and the sea serpent.

He changed into another pair of white cargo pants and a black t-shirt, and a white and black button-up shirt with dragon designs. He found another pair of biker gloves in better condition.

He grabbed his Phase Blade and slipped it in his pocket, and then wandered outside, where he found the others. Alasea was still guiding the boat to the island, which was still quite a bit aways.

"So, we ready for anything that place might throw at us?" he asked as he approached.

The beam rushed for Kagai,then suddently some sort of a force feild formed around him and the beam was destroyed."Don't get cockey brother I have yet to show you even a swint of my real power,when I was training with Kuro,he told me that I was one of the few to have a hiddin power that unlesheses the beast within you and increses your power ten times stronger" kagai said.Suddently the earth started rumbling the thunder started thundering and a dark era came about him so powerful you chould sence and see him increse in power,suddenly he trusted three powerful bolts of dark lightning wherling faster than the speed of light right for his enemy/brother!

"I'm always ready," Hugo said.

R.D. rolled his eyes at the Met's comment. "Well, let's hope there's some sort of dock when we reach that island, or we're going for a swim," he said, "I certainly hope you all know how."

===1 hour later===

For once, R.D. thought with some satisfaction, My mouth didn't screw us up.

R.D. stretched his legs on the old dock after he leapt out of the yacht, and then turned to help Alasea get down. After they all stepped off of the boat, they made their way to the sandy shore, spotting a path that led deeper into the rain forest. The island seemed peaceful, but considering the little hell they'd witnessed since his awakening in the city, he knew things weren't always as they appeared.

"This island is beautiful," Mei-ling remarked, the light wind brushing across her skin.

"If it wasn't so far out it'd be a great place to relax," Hsien-Ko said.

"Well, maybe we can do that later," Matt said, stepping toward the front of the group. "Right now we gotta find out what's goin' down around here."

"About the only thing I saw of signifigance on this island were those ruins," R.D. said, "So we might as well check those out first."

R.D. looked down the darkened path into the forest, took out his Phase Blade and activated it. "So, shall we go?"

Ha ha ha I'd stop sending my own attacks back at me if I were you it increces my energy and doesn't affect me it's ture brother you are powerful but I think we are evenly matched in power unlike back in 2000 when we were human.

"Now all I need is a fedora," Matt laughed.

"Shut up and let's go," Hugo said.

And so they did.

R.D. grunted as he slashed at the overgrowth with his Phase Blade. Matt had offered to help with his own energy blade, but Alasea had to convince him that it'd most likely set things on fire, with the way their luck was going.

After about twenty minutes of fighting their way through the underbrush, the group entered a clearing. Strewn about it were several canvas bags and boxes, and there were couple of old tents pitched. It looked to be an abandoned campsite, one that human eyes hadn't seen in years.

"What the...?" R.D. said, genuinely confused.

Alasea thought for a moment, and then suggested, "Smugglers, maybe? This is an island, after all... our city had a problem with smugglers from time to time."
