It looks like the Game Gear.
these are currently concept models, and may change in the year before the system\'s ready to ship at the end of 2004.
Let\'s hope so.

It reminds me of the Tapwave Zodiac, but in worse. I\'m sure that design will change before the final release. It just doesn\'t look like a GBA killer right now.

I dunno....
Personally..I think that the psp might not be AS popular...
After all..developers have bee buying into all sorts of systems..and even if Sony has massive prestige...they might reject it because it might not have as many sales...
Buuut...based on what I\'ve heard, the psp is going to be able to do at least half of the graphic capabilities of what the ps2 supposedly can do...and have ....I forgot what kind of sound system it used..I think 5.1...I\'m not sure...
And the games would be placed on little Media cards...
\'We\'re not stuffing old technology into a smaller package like the GBA\' was teh quote I think from and Interview in EGM.
But It\'s like what I sad earilier...companies might not buy into it.
THey\'ve already buyed into the N-GAge...annnnd...all the other systems...not to mention all the other NEW consoles that are coming out...I dunno....if Sony wants this thing to be big, they\'re gonna ;have to deal out some serious tech...
But then again...that\'s MY opinion.
Are you not? What? You don't understand me?
Well, ?ƒ?†¥?§©ç??§´ƒß? to you too!
I dare you to ban me Dr.Cossack!

It\'s supposed to use mini discs à la GC. But because of that it maybe less resistant. *drops old PS1 on the floor and it breaks...* see what I mean. The GBA(normal, not SP) is resistant, you can drop it (from a resonable height), hit it with your fist (not a hammer) and it won\'t break. That\'s why it\'s so great. Even though it use \"old technology\".
On the other hand, if it can really be half as performant as a PS2, then it maybe a big player. But if they don\'t change the design it may end up like the N-Gage, Sega Game Gear or any other handheld that try to compete with the Game Boy in the past 18 years or so...
