Not really, the collapse would take out time, causing the fight to never have existed so you wouldn\'t remember it, plus you wouldn\'t have the games anymore, so is it really worth it?

It would not be worth it. Besides, there\'s no gaurantee the universe would collapse. Anyone other than me read the Sonic comics? He goes to other universes all the time!

Don\'t take this so philosiphicaly. Think of it as \"If Sonic and Cloud COULD fight, who would win?\".

Personally, I think Cloud would win. Supersonic strength isn\'t much good without power to back it up. I mean, Sonic defeats enemies, given, but he always has to find weakpoints. A glowing spot, a panel, a flashing part, the head... As far as I know, Cloud doesn\'t have any definate weak points. Cloud isn\'t perfect, but he has none of the weak points which Sonic\'s strategies revolve around. I mean, think about it, when is the last time you\'ve actually seen Sonic brawl with anybody?

Nothing against Sonic, I just don\'t think he could beat very many people outside of his own games, because they all have weak points. Maybe he should try to mentally damage Cloud instead?

Heh, Oh and he could beat him if he could use the full power of emaralds so its possible he could beat Cloud though the summons he could not even with the emaralds lest he destroys a big chuck of the world to kill Cloud and negate the summon which I doubt he would due to the \"gotta save people\" thing. (I doubt Knux or Shadow would hesitate or have a problem doing that although.)

But,since Sonic does find weakpoints,he must be clever right?Being more trickier and clever than your opnent is a major plus.Plus with his speed,Cloud would have to break in and show SOME weakness sooner or later(cause hes watching Sonic run round and round,so he will get annoyed O_O)giving Sonic the edge he needed to toss Cloud to Kingdom Com.

Anyhow, time matters, eh? Are you aware that in almost every Final Fantasy game, there has been a magic called Stop? For all I know, there is a Stopra or a Stopaga somewhere. Anyhow, it isn\'t priceless against other characters, but think about it: what is Sonic without speed? He can barely fight without being fast (let\'s face it, that\'s at least his strongest advantage), so loss of movement make him vulnerable to attack. Do the math...
Cloud\'s infamously HUGE sword + Sonic\'s hedgehog exterior = :sick:
It has never been proven that Chaos Emeralds have any effect on FF Magic, so... maybe a Reflect would even send the effects BACK at Sonic?
I\'ve never even played Final Fantasy, and I like Sonic, but let\'s face it: the odds are against him.

Altough I am a TOTAL Sonic fan, Cloud is more powerful, so he\'ll be most likely the winner.

Just because you like Sonic doesn\'t mean he would win. If I seem like I\'m talking shrink, think harder.

How do we know Sonic even has the chaos emeralds? His group actually collects them. There is no way to prove that he would actually possess each while fighting. If they fought fairly, with only their regular abilities and items, I think Cloud would win.

Sonic may be able to brawl, given. I\'ve never actually played the first Sonic Adventure. But I doubt any Sonic character possesses the raw strength of Cloud. Knuckles can sure punch, and Sonic can surely attack quickly, but Cloud is a natural warrior. It may depend on what the stakes are.

You don\'t seem to get it. While your point has substance, I don\'t think you\'ve read mine or AimMan\'s posts. You should find convincing evidence to counter our anti-evidence before blowing your top about it.

And heatman it doesn\'t just take raw strength to win a battle. I do agree that sonic doesn\'t have the strength that Cloud does. BUT If cloud is slower than Sonic then Sonic could hit faster and dodge faster. You get my point??

Alot of you are ignoring basic physics when it comes towards Sonic. I see comments stating something along the lines that Sonic doesn\'t have the power that Cloud does and thus is at a disadvantage. However, it is very possible that Sonic could hit alot harder than Cloud can. The force is equal to the mass times the acceleration, and while I\'m not entirely sure what Sonic\'s mass is, I\'m pretty sure the acceleration behind his actions are alot faster than Clouds. Of course every action has an opposite and equal reaction, but I\'m not going to get into that here. Also, this isn\'t saying Sonic can definately hit Cloud harder, but it does show that it is a possibility.

The answer of who would win behind Cloud and Sonic really depends on what the situation is. How many emeralds Sonic has, what materia Cloud has, his weapon. Unless the exact circumstances are given this is a question that is impossible to answer.

Ok clarifying the situation...Sonic and Cloud are at most powerful forms.
