OK, .-, I have to explain something.
Two mature people, to debate, need EVIDENCE. Whoever has evidence first, currently decides he is the winner.

About the physics thing, it matters. Would you rather get it by a rock thrown by a baby or one tossed about by a tornado? A baby, of course. The faster and object travels, the more force it exerts upon the object it collides with. And about Sonic\'s mass, it\'s 7.2 \"stone\" in the comic books. I\'m guessing that\'s something like 5-10 lbs. for each stone. I have no clue what that would be in kilograms so don\'t ask me.

EDIT: About Sonic\'s ultimate form, according to the comic series, it\'s Ultra Sonic. In this form, he\'s still blue, can create matter mentally, and little black stars follow him. However, I don\'t know how many rings he needs... I think it\'s about a million.

Well, as far as I know, all Sonic can gain is powerups and rings, enabling almost infinate life and INCREDIBLEY enhanced gameplay. But Cloud gains much more through his adventures. While both gain great abilities, most gamers only reach lv.50 or under when playing an RPG, and in most RPGs, characters\' levels may go as far as 99. At level 99, any boss looks easy. Therefore, it is conceivable that Cloud would be unamaginabley powerful at lv.99, which is, with the best equipment, summons, and spells, the victor, as his \'ultimate power\' is locically more.

well it depends about if sonic is hyper and cloud is at level 100 or any other crap.well so far i would say soinc will win because hes too fast for cloud and also cloud needs to lift the heavy ass sword so yah sonic will win:D

Alright you have waited long enough. I\'ll tell you the ending.

Cloud takes a lunge at Sonic but misses. Sonic leaps into the air and then dives down at cloud. Sonic hits the sword out of Clouds hand. Cloud races to pick it up but Sonic runs really fast gets ahead of cloud and trips him. Cloud gets on his feet and then sudenly out of no where Tails flies in with a nuke and blows up everything. *NOT*:lol: Acually Tails flies in to give Sonic the Emralds. Cloud seeing that Sonic would be unstopible with the Emralds he shoots a fireball at Tails\'s plane. The plane engen blows up, and the plane crashes into Sonic killing Tails and Sonic both. Cloud WINS!!!. ~OR~ Tails flies in to give Sonic the Emralds. Cloud seeing that Sonic would be unstopible with the Emralds he shoots a fireball at Tails\'s plane. Cloud misses and Sonic powers up with the Emralds. Cloud tries and tries to kill Sonic but Sonic was unstoppible. Sonic delivers the deathblow. Sonic WINS!!!

I suppose, if you think about it, this inquiry is sort of obselete without knowing everything about the character. Though, there is a problem with your theory. How did Sonic hit the sword from Cloud\'s hands? Typically, one would think a skilled swordsman at the ultimate level would take a better grip on a broadsword (which is held with two hands, unless in the use of a teqnique). True, the velocity created by Sonic would be enormous, but I still don\'t think it would be enough.

Plus, I can\'t see the Tails-nuke thing happening. It\'s not exactly realistic. That would mean Cloud could call on his friends too, right?:conf:

Exactly, didn\'t you say that it was Sonic vs Cloud? So how come he got to bring in tails for the emerald? If Sonic gets to have his allies, then can Cloud bring in his enemys? ...Oh Sephiroth...

Rather, take out tails, give Sonic all the master Emeralds, and give cloud, whatever he gets.

Cloud lunges forword with his Buster sword, but Sonic dodges with his amazing speed and strikes Cloud with his homing attack. However just as swiftly, the counter materia guides Clouds blade strait at Sonic!

*Sonics Rings Scater*

Sonic: \"Noooo!\"
*Sonic sets to gathering the rings, but befor he can reach the first ring, he notices that the sky has suddenly turned black*

Sonic: \"Huh? Whats going on?!?\"

*Slowly, Cloud fades away, and from the clouds decends the great dragon*

Sonic: \"What?!?\"

The great beast fires a blast the nothing could escape...slowly Cloud re-appears. Only a few traces of blue hair could be found.

Cloud: \"That should teach him to talk about other peoples mothers...\"

Actually, neither game is extremely realistic...
FF because, obviously, everyone uses Magic! No more to discuss.
Sonic, because every boss has a weakpoint and the highways on some stages (Radical Highway on SAB2 for Gamecube) are built so weird! Who would drive on those?!
And the whole blue hedgehog, red echidna thing...
Anywho, can we actually determine a victor without being in their universes with their laws of nature?
