Yes. They have announced MMBN 5. No true details are known... but it may come out for the DS (Nintendo\'s next portable) because they have one for that called BN DS so no one knows if they will be the same.

Well, the only thing we all know for sure is that the Battle Network series will continue as long as there is a strong fanbase both here and in Japan. Speculating on MMBN 5 and 6 when we don\'t even know the outcome of BN 4 sales is really rather pointless, but I do hope that they will continue the series, and perhaps change it so that there is only one game to buy, not 4 to get the whole set. what I would like to see, should they continue the 2 color tradition, is that the story deviates a bit more, perhaps even have a sort of \"2 Worlds Collide\" when you link. rather than your friend knowing the storyline to both games, I think that they should/would/might make it so that you can see part of the story from one game, and a different part from another game. You wouldn\'t miss out on anything major by only buying one game, but if you linked, then the story line is completed, and you get a full explanation or a chance to battle the other game\'s enemies! but all this is pure speculation, of course.

Another thing I\'m pretty sure is that the Navi that won the KoroKoro Navi contest will be in the game...*Hopes my navi wins*

Actually, 3 new MMBN games are being made right now:

MMBN 4.5
MMBN 5
MMBN DS

4.5 is the newest version of Battlechipchallenge and wil feature the same graphics as MMBN4

you will be able to walk only on the net, but with Numberman, Roll, Gutsman, Megaman, Fireman, Protoman, Woodman and Metalman. Each has theyr own function and attacks. there is also word of 12 other navis, but I think this has do do with a soulunion abbilety.

The battle system is improved from BBC. At a random encounter you select a random chip form the bottom screen and attack, telling your navi the distance and who and where to attack.

There is also word of a chip functipon involving cards, but I\'ll tell you more once I\'m sure.

4.5 is the first one to be released.

As for MMBN5 and DS nothing has been confermed, I suggest you rather wait for MMBN 4.5 and send in you suggestions/complaints to capcopm in the meantime.

well, yeah. only they relate to the same story. like, in one version, the game ends with an explanation of what happened between the first game and this game, and the other tells a bit more about the motivation behind the main enemy, or something. but don\'t have totally different story lines, just special parts of the story that you can get from the other if you link.

Well the Oracle stories did intertwine to an extent.

yes, we understand, but you see the basis of this particular discussion is MMBN 5, and all predecessors to it. so, regardless of when the PET is released, we\'re still talking about MMBN 5. and on that note, what new version of the style change do you all think will be in the 5th installment(s)? we have the soul thing, if I understand right, for 4, but what about 5?

Names of MMBN Characters are from Classic Megaman, so therefore, there will be EIGHT Megaman Battle Network games (Thank god).

In Battle Network 5 and BN DS we will probably see the Soul Unison ability again and perhaps the Cross Fusion. I think BN 5 should be a continuation of BN 4 but with Cross Fusion added in. As for BN DS I hope they make it and RPG still, but the storyline to follow Axess almost exactly (like they did with Rockman EXE WS) but still an RPG. That would be cool as all hell! :devil:
