We all tend to put Legends into a parallel universe because humans and robots coexist. Furthermore, Capcome throws more odd robot-lingo at us, including reaverbots. If you think about it, reaverbots and refractors compilcate things little more than reploids and mavericks. Yet, the Legends series is more difficult to squeeze in their because humans still exist, which, according to the rest of the timeline, seems illogical...:conf:

Well, I\'ve never played any of the Legends games so I\'m lost on that subject. But still, if you think about it, the legends series doesn\'t really fit in with the others. If it did, from what I know about the series (even if I know hardly anything about it) I think it might fit in between the BN and Original...I think...
EXE series is a separate universe. First is TOS. Hundred years later is X. Another hundred years is Zero. Now fastforward a couple of thousands of year later (about 2 or 3, I forgot which), and you\'re at Legends. EXE is an alternate universe. That\'s official word from Capcom.

Well...maybe, but still, isn\'t it funny how Lan\'s last name Hikari means light in Japanese? So wouldn\'t that make some relation to him and the Dr.Light in TOS? Maybe he changed his name to hide from Wily or something...I don\'t know.
I forgot where it was pointed out. It was either the source book or his interviews. I\'ll go look. But even if you play the games, you\'ll find everyone of the games is connected except EXE. And playing Legend 1 and 2 helps tie them together seriously.

I for one refuse to believe that the Dash series is connected, it brings up too many questions
The alternate universe thing makes sense. Everyone knows that Wily lost a competition thing with Dr. Hikari (Lan\'s grandfather). Wily wanted robots, Dr. Hikari wanted Net Navis. I bet the time lines were the same until this moment. The moment when the judges picked Dr. Hikari\'s program to fund instead of Wily\'s. And what of Wily going evil? He\'s just evil by nature in all universes.

It\'s...
Original --> X --> Zero --> Legands. Battle Network is spin-off series. It says so in this book... Now, if I only remembered (sp?) the name... I\'ll edit later.

Umm... No. All of them exept Battle Network connect. I would explain about Legands and the others, but it will be long. Email Voulnet (Go to Megaman BB on Megaman Network to find him). He\'ll answer you. If you email him, tell him I asked you to email him.

On the contrary, it implies that it is another universe altogether
Legends has always been connected. But it wasn\'t told how really until the Zero series arrived. It tied in a loose end of how they were connected. It mentions organizations which was similar to Neo Arcadia and the Resistance. Hold that thought for a second, kay?
Besides, you have to get past the fact Dr. Tadashi Hikari is dead in 200X battle network. Not Dr. Yuuchirou Hikari, but Netto\'s grandfather, which was THE Dr. Hikari. Now this was the closest thing to Dr. Light. Unless Capcom decides to make a cheesy explaination to link the series, EXE is a separate universe.
EDIT: If you do not what any spoilers(well, a little too late for that) then play the game and don\'t read this article.

THATS THE BOOK!!! YAY!!!! Anyways, I have the book, and had my brother translate it (He learned Japanese in Middle School). It stated the fact that its...
Origanal --> X --> Zero --> Legands.
It also said that Battle Network was just a spin-off series, and that it does not have to do with the other series. Here is a pic of the book...

Ooooh...that\'s the book I wanna get.
It sounds and looks pretty cool.
Annd...I can see the MM-MMX-Zero-MML thing. MMBN seems like a spin-off anyway.

MMBN does seem very much like a spinoff series, because of the VERY high use of cameos.

Lets look at it in terms of years.
200x
BN
2000-2009
20xx
Original
2000-2099
21xx
X
2100-2199
22xx
Zero
2200-2299
If my interpretation of the years (meaning that the x\'s are algebraic) is correct, the timeline would go as follows:
MMBN --> Original --> X --> Zero
Unfortunatly, I havn\'t played MML1 or 2 so I don\'t know about those..

Yes, but still, MMBN is part of the series anyway, but I guess it\'s your opinian.
