Greetings, folks.
This is the first pole I\'ve posted, so bear with me.
My big question of the day is:

Do you believe in folder themes?

Yes, this has been on my mind for some time. I realize, some have never heard of them. Some despise them.
And some of you are like me, actively encouraging others to use them.
While some may choose not to, we all have our own personal reasons, style/s, and tastes...if you will.
Feel free to as well post why you chose the choice you did.

Mixed opinions, depends on the situation.

Having a theme often means that you are limited to a smaller groups of less diverse chips in your folder (like 4 invis, 4 rockcubes, 4 this, 4 that, etc.). If you are trying to accomplish a specific goal (ie. defeating a particular navi boss) these folders are a good idea since they will help you accomplish your goal faster.

However, I usually find myself on the net collecting chips to beef up folders or do program advances. I often battle random virii that can be immune to certain types of attacks (Shadow virii) and resistant to others (minibombs against elecwasp). I require a wide range of attacks to effectively fend off any type of virii I come against even if it means having a single chip that doesn\'t comply with the rest of my folder. This is why I have Mine (*) in my folder when I can. If someone steps on it, it\'s 300 damage and with AreaGrabs beforehand, there\'s a much higher chance they will step on it.

I like to have a theme so i can focus on what i have to do.

have you ever heard of flash crusher?
i use that a lot,
though i put in some chips of my own too,
like 4 invis wich i always put in,
also for the shadow virus and skill i use 2 variable swrds.
a theme is often also handy for chip codes, wich mostly uses only one code.

also note that using a theme doen\'t mean you can\'t have some chips that don\'t match the theme, like the invis chips.

Meh. I never really was too fond of folder themes....(they never seem to work for me anyway. XP )

So most of the time my folder varies, letting me be able to surprise opponents sometimes.....But mainly I just like variety.:D

I prefer situation-oriented modification. Meaning, modify your folder with far reaching attacks before KingMan, aqua chips for FlamMan, and the like. Themes are only good for stylishly chrushing your friends with cool attacks and strategies.

I have found that having a theme makes the game more fun to play, and the more fun you’re having, the more likely are to win.

I noticed that a while back when my friend could never win with a strong fluid Folder, even though it was better than many other folders. However, when I suggested he make a folder based on Bay Blade (his fav. show) he not only had more fun with it, but he won more often too.

The folder was mostly Yoyos, Plus powers, various Panel disrupters, and Cannons.

He had previously used the Classic Disco Inferno folder.

The fact that a themes makes you more relaxed, and thus more likely to have fun and win makes me Pro-Theme.

I use them too...Go Elemental Rage!!!
