Personally I like Led Zeppelin, Quiet Riot, and Blue Oyster cult.
I know Weird Al isn't a rock 'n" roller but some of his parodies are rock.
(mostly weird al is a joke and I couldn't think of many groups:conf:)

I have a lot. REM, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, and Weird Al. This isn't really rock but Belle and Sebastian.
