what i basicly want to know is if its like the normal side scrolling games of if its like 3d blast or adventure

Sonic battle is a pretty fun game (though I had already beaten it). You play as all the characters at some point (not all at once). You even get to play as a robot named Emerl (created by eggman to collect and gain power from the chaos emeralds. Eggman soon throws out emerl when emerl wont follow instructions. Emerl gets stronger by training with sonic and that\'s when eggman wants him back. It\'s a fun game with lots of wierd sounds that seem to go on forever but the battling is worth it.
