When I first saw the Chip Gate, and MMBN4, I was like...
\"Cool! A Mega Man BN game where you don\'t have to be MegaMan!\"
But when I saw how the thing worked I still thought it was sort of cool. But then after about 2 weeks, I noticed something. The DS is coming out it just a year. And a lot of the features that seem to be missing from the MMBN 4.5 concept could have been implemented easily into the DS.
- Voice Recognition
- Higher Interaction
- Wireless communication (Jacking in!)
And let’s not forget the Battle Chips. Anybody who read the spec sheet for the DS know that it has TWO, count them TWO, slots for games. One is for the new DS games, and the other for old Advance games. Why? Because the DS and Advance use different games, of different size and shape.
So, in reality, instead of using the HUGE Chip Gate gizmo, Capcom could have just made the Battle chips a bit differently (a.k.a. like really cheap GBA carts) and also spent more time polishing the system. Nintendo specifically said that the extra game slot could be used in that manner. They said it…
I think that had Capcom not been so quick to jump at a quick profit, they could have really had something here. Maybe even a killer app for the DS.
What do you guys think?
Should Capcom have waited and put 4.5 on the DS, or just used the Chip Gate for the GBA?
I\'m for the DS as you can plainly see.:D
