BNU, of course, is the name of a site that I administrate. It is called \"Battle Network Universe\", and is a MegaMan Battle-Network Roleplaying site. Now, no. This is not an advertisement. I was merely explaning what BNU is. Now, lemme get to the point.

A while back, some newbie decided to sign up as \"LanHikari\". Now, there was two things wrong with this. We don\'t allow new members to RP official characters, and we already had somebody playing Lan Hikari. After warning him several times to change his account name, we gave up and deleted him.

Now, this very same newbie applied AGAIN. And once again, he applied as Lan. We warned him yet again. And yet again, he didn\'t listen. So we deleted his account again.

It was around this time that we discovered... this member had been banned on several sites before. INCLUDING THIS ONE. Yes. One of your banned members here (And I think he evaded that ban, and was banned again.) is the same one that\'s been applying at our site. Failing to obey the rules, and constantly insisting that he be allowed to RP Lan Hikari. And not only this, but others as well. In fact, if you go here you can see that very same person begging to be an administrator on an RP site, and being, quite bluntly, denied. He also mentions his past administrative abilities. (He deletes the board because some members piss him off. Oh yes. Administrative material, indeed.)

Now, it is because of this one person that I have up and completely taken away the ability to register at BNU. In fact, if you want to join BNU, you are now required to post in the Guest Area, where an Administrator or Mod will sign you up.

AND NOW... this person ONCE AGAIN evaded his ban... and DARED to post a hate-comic in our guest area depicting his hatred for one of our finest moderators, Dana Alzomal. For this, I told him that I would link other sites to the thread So that, not only BNU members, but members of OTHER boards could post, and inform him of how utterly stupid he was. To me, that is the ultimate punishment, and all I ask is that you read, and see for yourself the aggravation this person has caused on many occasions. How he managed to get ALL of BNU\'s members pissed at him, and how I finally got fed up and posted this here.

Dr. Cossack, I wouldn\'t blame you if you went ahead and locked this thread down. Because, in essence, I am disobeying the rules myself by posting up something of a \"Member thrashing\" thread. But I felt it my duty as an administrator to defend my mods and my site. Do as you see fit.

\"Dana Alzomal/Obelisk.exe\" would be in fact, me. The person in dicussion is Banned member \"shadowman.exe\', \'shademan.exe\' and another name on this site. Oh yes, he\'s a member here and he\'s ban evading. Furthermore he\'s stolen sprites from Blademan and myself several times already.
The main problem is that he cannot understand why we banned him for \'no apparant reason\' and continue to ban him every time he does something. Flareman mentioned why, he does not understand it, I try to explain the reasons to him and he throws a hissy fit as a result.

Gee, I wonder why the Doc banned him on here </sarcasm>

EDIT: Report to Proboards? Hmm, we\'ll just have to try that, Doc\'s IP Banned him a few times and he STILL comes back here, the same goes for us.

... A server ban? I\'ve never heard of that, to be honest... And I HAVE been doing IP bans. IP bans, email bans... everything. This guy keeps coming in somehow. I think he\'s continuously changing computers. Either way, we can\'t seem to get rid of him, but I\'ll try what you suggested.

According to the member list there is only one banned name and that is shademan.exe.

Well, there\'s a bit of a problem with that, actually. I\'m Kenichi Lenore on BNU, btw. All the admin have banned his IPs as he\'s used them; unfortunately, he\'s been logging in from several places other than his \"main\" IP, so it\'s become hard to isolate him. There\'s school, internet cafe\'s, relatives\' houses, etc. that he can get into. Keep in mind, this is the same person who stole sprites from one of the members here, as well as several other places including BNU. Really, he\'s quite the royal pain.

EDIT: Curse my slow typing skills! This is already old news... But I\'ll still act as a witness.

I don\'t remember about this precise case, but sometimes I can\'t IP ban users since it would affect a few different people all at once. Also, some ISPs use many different IP addresses, so it gets near impossible to do a ban that way.

So, you\'re saying that an IP address isn\'t always just one computer?

... Uh oh... Maybe I should re-think my IP bans... I don\'t want to accidentally ban somebody who doesn\'t deserve it. >_>

Definitely not. Most cable users have an IP address that changes very rarely, so it works for them. However, dial-up users get an IP from a \"pool\" of addresses every time they connect. That pool of addresses belongs to the ISP (Internet Services Provider) the user is connecting with. For example, it could be all addresses beginning with 232.83. Some companies, like AOL, are big enough that they have multiple ranges of addresses too. Again, for example, they could own all of 157.182.*, 163.254.* and 212.8.* . In the case of dial-up users, if you ban the address pool of his ISP, you effectively ban ALL members of that company. This makes it about impossible to properly IP ban AOL users.

That\'s why sometimes IP bans can work, and sometimes they can\'t. A dial-up user just gets a new IP every time he connects, and many members of your website can be from the same ISP.

You see, the problem is that he\'s not registered on our board as a member. He\'s posting as a guest. I allow guests to post because I feel that it\'d be a good way to improve the site, since guests will be able to ask important questions before deciding to join up.

Also (As I mentioned before.) I\'ve completely stripped the privelage of being able to register on your own. So now if a guest wants to join, he/she has to post in our guest area in the appropriate \"Join BNU\" thread that I\'ve put up. I, Admin3, or another mod will get to that member and add them to our site.

Send him a bunch of Valgears and blow up his freaking computer! hah.
He sounds similar to me. But more persistent and disobedient.
In all fairness, i have a plan. Pick up his e-mail (you need to give it to register in most places) and E-mail ban him from here, there, everywhere. Forward it to all sites he\'s likely yto show up at, and ask hime to ban them. If he pops up anywhere else, continue to forward/ban him. now, a break frfom counter-formulation. :miam: :miam: God, this is scary. It\'s like omeone cloned me in another part of the world. Okay, the thing to do is send him a keylogger. Make some story up so that he\'ll stick it on a floppy. if he installs it on every comp, you can check them all and Ip ban him before he can even reg. Tell me what ya think! :miam:

Actually I was being serious: I designed a prototipe virus, I called it \"Proto A\", I t allows me to track his pc if I manage to get him open an infected mail, then I can see his PC. Then I can block the acces to your page from the PC he is using and also I can access to his e-mail with BetterInet and when he discovers that, he will go to another PC, Proto A detects him, I block it and it keeps that way until he has no more free PCs

But there are some trouble with this:

1.-Affected people: If someone that uses the board from the same terminal of this guy, the site might be bloked to him too.

2.- Spread: I still need to get a reliable e-mail adress and I don know if the virus can penetrate his e-mail defenses

3.- ONLY if it serious: I wont use it unless I see that its REALLY necesary AND still then I wont wont use this under ANY of other circunstances.

I repeat to makie it clear: ONLY IF ITS INDISPENSABLE and I wont use it NEVER again understood?

Send me a PM with a \"report\" of what he`s been doing and I`ll tell you if I will use it.

PD: 1.-ONLY if its necesary
2.-I will NEVER use it again ok?

That is not the only thing he has done. I, the admin at Megaman_BN_RPG, has seen him making rip-off sites of my board and other boards. He steals my rules and RPG Guidelines. That just went too far. I deleted his account and IP banned him. Yet again, he signed up as a different user. He said, \"Why was I banned?! I didn\'t do anything wrong!\" I deleted his account and banned him AGAIN. After the main admin said that the board is too popular, he switched to a different one. I tried to tell him no, because \'LAN HIKARI\' will come on. Guess what? He did, he joined. Though, now he wants to advertise his 5 boards on my board. After it got cluttered with so many boards, I came up with a rule.

Rule: I don\'t want this forum to be overflowed with so many topics. So, in order for members to post here is that they have to have 200 non-spam posts. If you DO post in this forum without 200 posts or you had posted spam in the past, the topic will be deleted and you will be suspended for 1 day. This is your fault for not reading this rule, and YOU KNOW if you spam, don\'t play like you don\'t know or anything like that. Admins and Mods can post here without abiding to this rule.

That is the rule I have put. That stopped him from posting. Though, I gave him one last warning and he claimed he WON\'T SPAM EVER AGAIN. Well, I\'ll give him one last chance, then he\'s GONE.

He really is the worst lamer on the net.
