Does anyone here have World of Warcraft? I do, and I love it. I\'m a level 7 Undead Priest named Holybones, on the server Magtheridon. I can\'t wait to get to a higher level, so I can do raids with my guild.

I played Warcraft II a lot. It was one of my first video games ever. Funny, considering it contained blood and other violent themes.:lol:

So, what all is there to do in WoW? Are online fees bad?

[font=Trebuchet MS]I\'ve got it, and I can\'t get enough of it. I\'m usually found on the Aggramar server as either Alphonse, 21 Human Paladin, or Rakanishu, 10 Troll Shaman. Don\'t be shy to send a /t if you see me.

AimMan: There\'s plenty to do in WoW. Grouping is completely optional, so you\'ll never have to wait for hours to find the perfect mix of characters. There are several quests which yield money and exp as rewards, as well as some rather awesome items. There are tradeskills you can grow in to build armour and weapons not found anywhere else, and with engineering you can build some rather crazy stuff, like dynamite and a mechanical squirrel that follows its owner around.

Also you can participate in Raids, which will feel like Warcraft. Imagine insanely large groups attacking the areas owned by the opposing faction, just because. I haven\'t been in an organised raid, but we had some Orcs and Trolls attack Maestra\'s Post, and some Tauren attack Westbrook Garrison the other night. It\'s quite a rush to be in the fray, even if you\'re outlevelled by your opponents.

The online fees aren\'t that bad at $14.95 monthly, but at current time they may aggravate you a bit. The login server tends to go down right when you want to play, but it\'s usually back in no time, and remember, it comes with a 30 day free trial, so you don\'t have to stick with it. Unlike FFXI though, it doesn\'t cost an additional dollar per alternate character you have.

Generally, if you liked Warcraft for its Warcraft roots, you probably won\'t like WoW as much, as it\'s an MMORPG, and Warcraft is RTS. WoW -is- a more lenient, solo-friendly MMORPG however, using the story from the Warcraft games (mainly from III from what I can see). It\'s worth a try, IMO.

Oops, seems I rambled a bit too much ^^;

Sounds cool. One more question though: How in depth is character customization?:conf:

[font=Trebuchet MS]In creation, there are quite a few options for facial hair, markings, race, etc. You -will- run into doubles, but it won\'t really be that often, I\'ve found. I\'ve yet to find a double for my paladin, but I\'ve seen several trolls much like myself.

Character depth doesn\'t shine really until level 10, but when you get there, three talent trees open up, similar to Diablo 2\'s skill trees; even to the point that you only get talent points at level up for a total of 51. However you -can- reset your talent points if you feel you\'ve messed up, but it costs a hefty price: 1 gold the first time, then 5 the second, all the way up to a steady 50 gold.

You won\'t be able to put points into stats directly though, like Everquest. That bummed me out a bit, but the talent trees make up for that IMO. A fire mage and an ice mage will be very different from eachother; especially if said mages are of different races, but that\'s a given I\'d think.

Also, you\'ll find weapon trainers around the world that can train you for a small price. It\'s fun using hand to hand with a Druid :lol:

Anyways, I think that covers most of it... you\'ll always have something unique about yourself.

(Apologies for bumping a topic up, but I was going to make a topic for this, and saw there was one.)

I had gotten WoW last week, and it didn\'t work for me. But I had my friend over last night, and he helped. (Woo! ^^)

I\'m on the Lightning\'s Blade server as Taeore, a level nine Night Elf Hunter. I haven\'t gotten off the starting continent yet, but keep an eye out for me. ;)

Wow, I really wish I could play this game, alas, I have no money to pay the monthly fees(fees, what a damned ripoff). I\'ll just have to stick with Guild Wars for my MMO fix.
