It just so happens that in english class we had to write about a new source of energy this week.I wrote about using hydrogen from the sun and water. But someone wrote that we could use piss,And my teacher said that would be an good idea because of something inside of it. -CraZY-

We would probably use highly sensitive light absorbers
Ex:use solar energy
since the sune goes down we could probobly use the light from the moon too

The moon doesn\'t give off light.

The world doesn\'t end when energy does. It will become a little harder, but we\'ll have to adjust like we have doesn so many times before.

One alturnative which is worth looking into is fusion. Work out how the sun makes new energy through fusion and recreate it here.

Crap, I forget the name but its like a way to make (near) infinate amounts of energy. It hasn\'t happend yet.

the moon reflects light from the sun.

What about Windmills? And for NASA\'s rocket crap, they could make their stuff run on Solar Power and/or Solar Wind. And I once saw a \"Snicker\'s\" commercial where a guy invented cars that ran on hair clippings.

I forgot the name too, but it is the thing in SpiderMan 2, that Doc Ock did, er tried to do.

The problem is that the moon only reflects a tiny amount of the light from the sun. It\'s not even enough light to keep those little light-sensitive patio lights off at night. Using moonlight during the night is highly impracticle.

Unfortunately, we\'ll just have to combine multiple energy sources if we are to continue our wasteful energy usage, as I have already said.

For best results, we could place things in strategic locations, such as a large solar array in a desert. Also, geothermal energy near volcanic areas may also be beneficial.

Near-Future: Solar cells are already quite capable of efficiently capturing and converting a great amount of energy from the sun. The only real problem comes in storing the energy for periods where the sun is occluded. We need to work on developing better batteries =p
Far-Future: Generators most often transform energy of motion into electric energy. If we had or could capture perpetual motion, we\'d have a never-ending energy supply. What seems to move forever? The electrons around the nuclei of atoms. If there were some way to harness this energy, we\'d never have to get energy from anywhere else.

*Techno geek mode on* I believe you were looking for the term Nuclear Fusion which can generate ALOT of power so it\'s not something to stick your toungue on :P

...Damn! You beat me to it!

Yes, Fusion could be the way forward, but normal Nuclear (an no, it\'s not \"nuculer\") can produce enough energy.

However, when you react Hydrogen with Oxygen to make H[sub]2[/sub]O (Water) a lot of energy is given off. Infact, they use this to get rockets off the ground for the initial lift before they get into space.

Yes, that\'s correct. Hydrogen and oxygen reacting is a powerful energy source. What\'s more is it creates water which could then be split into hydrogen and oxygen again, theoretically creating an endless supply of energy. However, the problem is making combustion that are strong enough to withstand the explosion. In otherwords, no hydrogen/oxygen powered GameBoys.

Of course not! However, Games Boys do not currently run off burning coal, do they? Batteries can still be created.
