Beating Oogie\'s Revenge (Yes, I\'ve played it!) and then saving over my save game.
My brother never, ever let that die.
I still hear about it every so often.

The biggest mistake I ever made was in Mario and Luigi Super star saga. I had almost completly beaten the game. One day I was saving and turned the game off. I had to start all over! 
Oh, MAN. That sucks. At least it was with a super-gnarly game. XD
InactiveWord of advice: pay attention to the save screen on GTA san andreas otherwise you will regrit starting a new game for fun, and it isn't

A few times for Animal Crossing, I accidently just turn the game off and remember five minutes later that I forgot to save. xD
Another big mistake was letting my little brother play my favorite games while I am gone. In 1 month my brother erased me and my friends data on Legend of Zelda Ocarinia of time data(mine was beaten and my friend beat the game 99.2%)super mario 64(about 90% beaten) and other games(all beaten or nearly beaten) I grounded my brother from my games for a week.(would have been 50 years but my mom said other wies...)
