I know since all of you are also into Megaman, but don\'t you all think Protoman will one day evolve into Zero and Megaman evolve into X?

It is somehow proving my opinion is right in MMBN 1 and 2

Hmm.... I guess it kinda makes sense if you think about it. I think he means since that Protoman uses a sword, Capcom was trying to link him w/ Zero.

X was updated, just because Protoman and Zero are both red doesn\'t mean their the same. Their two different robots, the colur red is the only simularity bewteen them.

Wow... I remember debates like this back in the day when I concidered myself to be analysist of the MegaMan games. Those topics were pretty much the same as I\'m seeing in this thread: about how Megaman becomes X and Protoman (or Bass) becomes Zero in the future.

It\'s kinda shocking how people actually still believe these ideas are true...

Only this time it\'s going on in MMBN, not the original series.

I believe Mr. Match is right, i think they are trying to merge the stories, well that rino guy is right too, but it is my hypothesis... I still think that Protoman does somehow become Zero,
for example, remember i megamanx4? Zero had a dream of Wily and now MMBN comes out showing his new weapon not a blaster but a sword.

Before you involve MMBN know that they are different stories.
And i don\'t think Protoman becomes Zero (they may be red but color does not change anything). I think Bass would be it but i really think that Zero was no ordinary Megaman character.

Yes, I agree with what you\'re saying, but you\'re forgetting that Proto Man was made by Dr. Light but Zero was made by Dr. Wily.

So I guess \"Sol-Badguy\" was right, Bass was made by WIly... It all makes sense

Except that Bass was there, and Wily kept it a secret from Bass and Bass didn\'t have a clue what the new robot was. All he saw was the sillohet of Zero. This is about the only game that linked the \"X\" series with the \"original\" series or the \"Legends\" series whatever it was.

Actually, I don\'t think even CAPCOM has even made up their minds. That\'s why they aren\'t making it clear. I guess they\'re hoping WE\'LL work it out and tell them. As far as we know, they could be BROTHERS!;D;D

And why did this suddenly change from Zero+ProtoMan to MM+MMX+MMBN+and MMEverything else?:conf:

Okay, that\'s a big turn on this topic...
I also remembered that Dr. Wily was once good and he worked with Dr. Light on Protoman, so that still could mean Zero is upgraded version of Protoman...
Protoman using Sword in Battle Network and the Wily sign on Zero.... It all makes sense in my opinion.

This is getting confusing o.O

Me guesses
MegaMan > Mega X > Battle Navi > MMZ MegaMan

Or something along the lins of that. But, most of the story lines have nothing in common just some of the characters. The only ones that follow through properly is MegaMan X and MegaMan Zero series.

MMBN>ORIGINAL SERIES>X SERIES>ZERO SERIES>LEGENDS SERIES>
i believe bn takes place a good 50 to 90 years before the original....i could go into more detail about this...but i just don\'t feel like typing that long...

This is NOT my place of expertiece but, suppose MMBN did not take place before the original, but AFTER. Think about it. Never in any of the X games was anything ever net-worked. The game probly take place after maverick wars and reploids and all that stuff which I have minimal knowledge of.

Look, its all very simple. The only series connected even remotely would be the orig. and the X and Zero series. There are no other connections. Yes, there are cioncidences, such as the \'master\' mentioning Elysium, and X saying he wants to make Elysium, and other such things, but really, there is absolutely no connection. The reason Battle Network has the names of the bosses is because Capcom got lazy and didn\'t feel like coming up with new sinister names....(bunnies? honestly, fluffbunny....heh...)...That\'s the only connection.

As for the protoman evolving into Zero, in the power battle series, when you beat it with Bass, Bass talks with Dr. Wily and the good ...did I say good, I meant brilliant doctor told him about the thing that would kill him.

He said something else too...I do know however, that he did say that, and at that point, Protoman was already in creation, he was never severely damaged (except for Rockman & Forte) but that\'s different. He was still alive when Dr. Wily told Bass that (see above). So, Zero was already in construction before Protoman every died.
