Yes, it\'s true, there is apparently a planned merger between Bandai and Namco. If they go through with it, the hybrid company will probably be the 2nd-largest toys and electronics company in Japan (I think that\'s what it said). Here be the article. http://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q2-2005/050405a.html

Too bad it\'s too late for a Gundam appearance in Namco x Capcom.:(

Something like that wouldn\'t have happened at least a year after the merger. While the companies can merge in names within a few months, it takes a lot more time to see the work teams and properties being put in common.

Is that merger good or bad? I don\'t know. I don\'t see anything wrong with it for the time being, at least. It\'s kinda funny how Namco has been doing a lot of stuff for Nintendo lately, and they end up merging with another company instead!

I think in the end, all the game and merchandise companies will just group together to make one big blob of money. :P

Bandai has had it\'s moments.....one or two of their Digimon games are pretty cool, and .Hack was just plain awesome.

Only time will tell how this merging will turn out.

Now that I think about it, Digimon World 2 was one of my favorite PSX games (3 was a little lame and 4 looks kinda bad as well). I hope maybe Namco can set them on the right track.

However, Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon and Encounters in space were both pretty good. Let\'s cross our fingers that Namco keeps those sort of games coming.

Nintendo owns 6% of Bandai...so if you buy Bandai videogames for PS2, you end up giving some money to Nintendo in the long run ;P

Anyway, like Jerry Chu said, \"Gundam stomped on Pac Man\"

Fed vs Zeon was made by Capcom. Not sure about EiS though.

You are right, now that I think about it. I guess it\'s the \"Battle Assaults\" that are made by Bandai.

Still, I hadn\'t known Capcom had a hand in it! I guess perhaps that explains its success.:D
