The possibilities on photography have expanded lately, but 35mm films still seem to stick around. If you happen to take pictures for fun, which format do you like the most? 35mm, digital, APS or something else?
I was surprised a few days ago when I found out that the APS format was dying. Having the possibility to choose your picture format on the fly, along with the easy-to-handle cartridges made this one a winner in my opinion. However, I heard that the picture quality was lower when doing large reprints, so the pros avoided the format. Too bad...
That leaves out 35mm films and digital as the main options. The film has the advantage of a higher resolution (in most occassions, at least) and is easier to use for most people. On the other side, the digital option allows you to take more pictures without any fees, easily copying them to a computer, or presenting a slideshow by linking some cameras to a TV. No matter the original format though, you can do transfers in both ways through most retailers.
Anyone here has some experience to share, or tips to give about which format is the best?
