Hi!

Ages ago, I was made an admin of Silver Image Designs (SID). I have almost full power of it. But it has been on Maintenance mode for a long time. Being an admin, I can get into the forum. I got bored, one day, so I decided to create a silver themed skin. (I thought it ironic that a graphics site still had the defult skin.) Out of curtesy, I didn\'t set it as defult, but I sent him a message saying that I did.

However, having put any amount of effort into a forum such as this, I am loath to see it wasted. And I liked that forum, anyway. Should I leave it lie and accept the fact that Silversnake has forgotten about it, or what? Should I re-open the board and take control because I can and I want to? But wouldn\'t that be betraying Silversnake\'s trust?

What should I do?

If you have contact with him, then I\'d consult him. It sounds like you don\'t though, so I\'d open it and run it the way he did back in the day.

Yeah, and if he gets bugged that you grabbed the steering wheel, explain the situation you were in.

Besides, what\'s the point of being an admin if you\'re afraid to act independently? =D

That could be seen as abusing my power, and it\'s one of the reasons that Dr. Cossack doesn\'t have any other admins.

I\'ve tried e-mailing him, and his e-mail no longer works, and I\'ve PMed him both on SID and on Hyperboards Support, and he\'s not even logged into either.

I don\'t see it as abuse of power if he\'s abandoned it, especially if you\'d give it back to him were he to come back. It\'s too much of a shame to see it just die, especially when he never even gave you an answer.

Yeah, just take it over. If he\'s not responding to anything, he probably doesn\'t care about the board.

You could open another board that is like SID was like \"back in the day.\"

If you\'re not the owner of the board -which you obviously aren\'t - you shouldn\'t do anything of the such. It\'s not your board to do as you please. You were trusted with the power to administrate the board, but it\'s still not really your decision to make. It\'d be like if the Doc wanted this place to die. It would be entirely his choice. Other members could make their own communities for those who were here, or invite members to their existing communities, but this board itself would die if Dr. Cossack wanted it to. Reviving that board is not a decision that should be yours.

That and you know, there isn\'t really any need for another admin here.
