Thank you.
Now, what Magiman said was not exactly relevant to the topic because it did not say \"Discuss the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG here,\" however just because he doesn\'t like it doesn\'t mean he can\'t come into the topic. He could have said, \"I don\'t have a favorite card. I don\'t like Yu-Gi-oh!,\" or, \"I think all the cards suck.\"
I play Magic as well, however, I never got a deck and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards I did. In Magic I always used other people\'s decks, and worked really well with them. Just because somebody plays Yu-Gi-Oh! doesn\'t mean they don\'t also polay Magic. And, why do some people prefer Yu-Gi-Oh! (Ri)? Because it\'s easier. It\'s essentially the same game, only much easier and less specific. Just look at the rulings on some of the cards. They don\'t follow the text. 9-year-olds play Yu-Gi-Oh! because they CAN\'T play Magic. Or, for everyone in general, because they don\'t know people who play Magic, or because they liked the anime or manga first, or it could be, as Ri said, just because they prefer it in general but that\'s probably usually not the case, as it usually depends on what the people around you play.
And this is why you shouldn\'t have duels over IMs.

No. I won\'t. Why post in a topic to say the same thing twice, unless some idiot acts as if you haven\'t said it and you have to repeat yourself? That\'s pretty much equivalent to double-posting unless you\'re not sure whether or not you\'ve posted in the topic to answer the question before, or unless you\'ve changed your answer.

BTW, is it true \"Change of Heart\", \"Monster Reborn\", \"Dark Hole\" and \"Raigeki\" are banned cards? @_@
WHY DON\'T YOU CHECK THE YU-GI-OH! SITE??? Yes, they are banned unless they have changed it since then, if you are playing that format. However, Yu-Gi-Oh! was created with the intent never to have any banned cards, therefore, I only follow the regular list. Oh wait, Jaden Yuki already answered.

that...is....the....STUPIDEST THING IVE EVER HEARD!!! what kind of MORONS banned the basic cards that they used to say HAD to be in your deck?! I mean come on! just because monster reborn is a card that can bring back yours and your opponents monster doesnt mean it has to be ILLEGAL! and how can they expect kids to listen to the rules if even the people on the show are using the banned cards?
Yu-Gi-Oh! was also designed never to have staples, I believe. They wanted people to still be creating original decks. And oh by the way, though it is pretty good about keeping accurate except for the constantly \"amazing draws,\" (and, of course, things like the god cards and the fact that Yugi doesn\'t have to follow the rules until after he learns them), THE SHOW DOES NOT USE THE COMPLETE RULES OF THE GAME. SOME CARDS ARE EVEN ALTERED FOR THE SHOW. NO T.V. SHOW, BOARD (or card) OR VIDEO GAME IS COMPLETELY TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL. DO NOT TRY TO PLAY A GAME BASED OFF THE SHOW. Jesus...

About the bans, really it\'s just for tournaments I think, so in duels outside of them you can use them.
Outside of tournaments you can do whatever you want. As long as everyone agrees. BUT YOU WILL GET NO RESPECT UNLESS YOU FOLLOW THE RULES IN THE RULE BOOK. Yeah, I know, you didn\'t say that but some people are stupid. As for rules that are on the website and such and used in most tournaments (except for card rulings if there is a disagreement), yeah, I always thought that you should play by what the rulebook says and \"banned\" cards shouldn\'t exist except for in tournaments. No fake cards though, of course, \'cause then you could get whatever you want. But it\'s just how you\'re aparently supposed to play. Play like you would in a tournament, without any extenuating rules or building your deck beforehand (unless you want to, for the latter one). Besides, how else are some people supposed to get any practice?

Sounds okay, if you\'re talkin\' outside of tournaments that is. I\'d stick with the actual rules themselves like in tournaments.
Um, duh, because it\'s impossible to do anything else unless you cheat and will be called out by your partner anyway if a judge doens\'t see it in the first place?
I think it\'s long past the time for this topic to be locked. We have general \"discuss Yu-Gi-Oh! topics. And this is not a chat or IM client.
