Here is your latest FanArt update, this time with 18 new pictures. Those were sent by ACE_Spark, Alex, Megamanzero66 and newcommer Zhentarim X. You can view all the new pictures here.
The FanArt archive was updated once again, this time with 17 new pictures.
There haven't been many front-page updates lately because I've been busy with several issues all coming up at once. Most of the recent updates were done on the oekaki board, and got their own announcements directly over there. Some behind-the-scenes work was and is still being done on the site as well.
As we move away from April Fools' Day, the website returns to normal. For those who missed it, for the duration of April 1st, the Mega Man PC Website was replaced with a Pokémon-dedicated website called PokéLab. You can still view the prank here if you're interested. I'm not planning to close this site anytime soon, so you don't have to worry about that. :-) Regular updates will continue as usual.
If you want to see some of the statistics from the prank, you can view ...
Here is your latest FanArt update! This time around, 16 pictures have been added, available for viewing here. Two pictures have also been removed on ACE_Spark's request.
The MMBN Info section has been updated today. The maps for Battle Network 3 and Network Transmission are now separated by categories and ordered in the way you should first need them. The MMBN1 & 2 pages were already organized that way. Many minor changes were also done to the different pages of that section.
Fourth anniversary
That's right, this website's first updates went live four years ago already! Long time visitors will agree that a lot changed since this site first was available. While the updates slowed down in the last year due to an overloaded schedule, I plan to put more time on the place in the following months. Take the remaining of this news post as a proof of that effort. :-)
News history
I spent several hours on restoring the archive of past news items. The conte ...
Now that this year's E3Expo is over, I thought I would summarize the status of the various upcoming Mega Man titles.
Mega Man Battle Network 4 and Mega Man X: Command Mission are still on the way for a North American release later this year. You can see the expected release dates on the right column.
Unsurprisingly, Mega Man Battle Network 5 was confirmed by Capcom to be in the works. There are no known details besides the fact that the game is coming. In other Battle Network news ...
The FanArt Gallery has been updated with 8 new pictures. Among those, MegamanZero66 did a picture to commemorate the 2000 members of the message board. There are also 5 pictures based on the Battle Network series by a new artist called MH Alia. Finally, previous contributors Zero EXE and mrbright sent in a picture each. The new pictures are directly available here.
As some of you guessed, the "mysterious picture" that I put on the anniversary update is indeed from Rockboard. That picture shows the latest sentence translated in the game and is a proof that the project isn't dead at all. In fact, more updates about it should follow in the next months.
I have made several modifications to the Rockboard translation section today. There is no new patch available yet, but I've rewritten parts of the information text to better describe the ultima ...
Over the years, I worked on implementing various exclusive features to this site: MegaChess, the MegaCards system, the oekaki board, etc. However, I don't hear much about which features people truly enjoy, so I've decided to do a survey to get a bit more feedback.
I would really appreciate it if you could take a minute or two and complete the form. It would give me a better idea of what people are looking for while coming here, so I can focus on those points. There's a text ...
I thought I would post this update to answer a question that many of you could be asking: at this point, there are no Battle Network 4 maps available online. The creator of the maps from the previous games, MegaBoy, hasn't done any yet. However, BradyGames is publishing an help guide for MMBN4 that contains detailed maps. You should be able to find this guide in your favorite game stores within a few days, if it's not already available.
The music section has been updated with a short description for each download page. Those descriptions have a few details about the various games from where those tracks come from. Sorry, but there are no new songs available for download at this point!
The FanArt section has been updated tonight with five new pictures from newcomers Jason Winslow, Serpentarius and Z. King. A long-lost picture by NiteCrawlr2 was also added. All five pictures can be seen directly here. Keep them coming!
Since a few weeks went by since the last update, I thought I should let everyone know what's going on with the site.
I haven't had much time in those last few weeks to do additions on the website, as you probably noticed. That's about to change, though, so I'm planning the next few updates. I've got a lot of ideas for this site, from modifications to new sections, so expect to see some new stuff over the next weeks!
As I did last year, I've turned the website to it's orange twin until Halloween. The usual, soothing blue tones will return at the beginning of November.
Beating the previous record of 32 pictures added at once, this latest update features 34 pieces of artwork sent by four artists! First of all, Alex contributed 8 new fan-made mavericks to the ones he already sent in. Second, newcomer BackLash made 16 new robot masters along with a picture of A-2, their leader. Third, The Wax joined in with 8 pictures of characters from the original and X series, all of those being drawn directly on a ...
Fans of the Mega Man Zero series will be happy today: five new wallpapers of various characters from that series were added to the downloads section thanks to Rioni Riishu! All five wallpapers are available in 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 formats. Just pick one (or more), and you're good to go!
On a side note, I've updated slightly the look of the download section and modified the script behind it. You shouldn't have any problems with it, but if there's something wron ...
Once again, the FanArt section has been updated, this time with 8 new pictures. The Wax added two pictures to his previous ones, while newcomer Kaiserin offers you a single maverick concept. Finally, Rioni Riishu, who sent in the batch of wallpapers added a few weeks ago, joined in the fun with 5 character arts. All of those can be seen right here.
... and a storm of snow and decorations fell upon the website! It will remain like this until the end of the holidays, when I'll clean up and shovel all that snow back outside. Happy holidays!
On a related note, a majority of people replied on last summer's survey that they didn't send MegaCards because they didn't have any ocassion to do so. Well, with Christmas just around the corner, now is the time!
A day late, I admit it, but it's definitely better than never!
Rioni Riishu, who contributed some material before, sent in a Christmas-themed wallpaper featuring some characters from the Zero series. It's now available in three formats in the downloads section among the other wallpapers. Happy belated Christmas!
For the first update of 2005, I'm offering you something I've been working on for the last several months: a detailed listing of all the official Mega Man games ever released on the computer! It only makes sense that this site would have that information, after all. I've compiled the information over time from various sources. There, you'll find (as available) the official game description, the system requirements, my comments as well as buying tips. For example, did you ...
The FanArt archive was updated again today thanks to the effort of two previous contributors: The Wax added 9 new pictures to his already impressive list of pictures, while Z. King submitted two new fan reploids. As per tradition, the new pictures are all located right here.
The PC games section received a decent update today with the addition of Mega Man X8 to the list, as well as some extra information on the PC releases of Mega Man X4 and X6.
Thanks to HJ and Mikey Dragon for some of the information!
The server hosting the chatroom is being changed for a new one. While the chat applet will bring you to the new server automatically, users who manually connect might stumble on the old place instead. If that's the case, enter /server 62.193.252.108 in order to join the new server. This will all be settled in a few days at most, and the connection info for the channel won't change at all.
System requirements added
The system requirements for Mega Man X5 and X8 were added to the PC games page. Thanks to ROCKMANROTTIES for the information!
FanArt update
The FanArt section has been updated with two new pictures from Rioni Riishu, both featuring characters of the Mega Man Zero universe. You can see both pictures here.
The Mega Man Battle Network info section received a large update today thanks to MegaBoy's efforts. The MMBN3 maps were completely redone in a new style which makes it easier to figure out how to move within the various areas. There are now maps available for MMBN4.5 and MMBN5 in the same style. I also put some preliminary maps for MMBN4 up, although those are definitely incomplete (not even all maps are done). They'll be completed and updated to the new style later on. Eventually, ...
The server hosting this website is going to be moved from one location to another in the same building. Since there's no change of hardware, there shouldn't be any problems besides some global downtime for a few hours as well as interruptions to the various scripts (message board, oekaki board and others). This should be completed within a few days at most.
The server move has been completed, and everything is now back online. If you run into any problems, please let me know since nothing should have changed.
It's possible you might already know who I am, but it's quite alright if you don't yet. You'll get to know who I am well enough in the upcoming future. As of today, I am the new owner of this website and it's content. It occured to me that with this website's growing popularity, that only a man of greatness can lead it in the proper direction. Who else, besides me, could possibly fill this role? I am a spectacula ...
I'm now officially back in action, after Necro's apparent takeover. As you might have guessed, we simply played a little game called: 24 hours of admin and banning madness. This was obviously (to some of you, at least) an April Fools' Day prank. If you're curious, you can read the extra details on this topic of the message board.
