With the upcoming release of the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, featuring all the mainline Battle Network titles, I've taken the opportunity to refresh the appearance of their information pages. One of the main attractions of this site today are the maps for the series, as the games often have maze-like layouts. No new information is added today, but the pages now have a clearer display and links that are easier to hit. This will be especially useful to those hoping to use t ...
Capcom announced during a livestream earlier today none other than Mega Man 11, the next release in the orignal series. A trailer has been made available to recap the history of the series as well as to introduce this new game. It's expected to be released on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Steam in late 2018.
Also, Mega Man X1 to X8 will be re-released on the same platforms sometime in the coming year. It's not known yet if this'll be through i ...
Ahead of E3, Capcom announced today the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, set to release this August for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Following up on the first Legacy Collection, which contained Mega Man 1 to 6, this one includes Mega Man 7 to 10. Curiously enough, Digital Eclipse, the team that worked on the first set, is not involved in this new project.
The official Mega Man site has been updated with the relevant information.
Once again another yearly lap has been completed, and the Mega Man PC Website: Dr. Cossack's Lab turns 17th today!
Official news are still relatively quiet as of yet. Lately, rumors of a Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 have been floating around, although nothing has been confirmed yet. The upcoming TV series has been delayed a bit, to early 2018, so not much has been shared beyond an updated look at Mega Man himself. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet for a potential tie-in game ...

Fresh off the (virtual) press, the first details on the upcoming Mega Man TV series have surfaced on Capcom Unity. Here's the basic setting of the upcoming show:
"The new animated Mega Man series will follow Aki Light – a normal, upbeat, and above all optimistic young school-aged robot living in Silicon City. He soon learns that deep within his programming are secret protocols that allow him to transform – giving him nanocore armor, a Mega Buster, and the iconic helmet to turn him in ...
The clock keeps on ticking, and the Mega Man PC Website: Dr. Cossack's Lab turns 16 today!
Once again, the past year has been rather quiet for the franchise as a whole. The Mega Man Legacy Collection has been released on multiple platforms, giving players a chance to replay the earliest six games of the original series. Unfortunately, Archie's ongoing Mega Man comic series was also put in hiatus, which is likely to turn either in an outright cancellation, or a reboot to go along ...
The form used to e-mail me directly has proven to be unreliable lately, so I've removed it entirely. You can always reach me by sending a proper e-mail or contacting me through the forums.
If you tried to send me a message in the past month or so and I haven't replied to you, it's entirely possible that the message got lost. Don't hesitate to try again!
Belenus Maverick was kind enough to send in six new pieces of Fan Art, all based on characters from the original series. They can all be viewed in the gallery. As a reminder, you're also able to comment on all items in that section to share your thoughts!

As the sixth of May rolls around, once again the Mega Man PC Website: Dr. Cossack's Lab celebrates another anniversary, making this the fifteenth!
This has been a quiet year for both the franchise and this website, with no new game announcement to talk about. The Mega Man comic from Archie is still going strong, with a new crossover with the Sonic series starting next month. Meanwhile, Capcom is still pushing more games from the past to various virtual console platforms, and I'm ...

The rumor has been floating for a few days, but is now official: Capcom will be bringing Mega Man Battle Network 3 White and Blue to Nintendo's Wii U console. No release date is known at this point, but more GameBoy Advance games are expected to be available on the console in the future. This will make the first time that the core Battle Network games appear on a system other than the GBA or Nintendo DS.
I've posted today an announcement on the oekaki board looking at its current state and future options, especially now that Java applets running in the browser are being gradually phased out. I'd appreciate it if all interested artists took the time to read that announcement then shared their thoughts as a comment in this news post.
I built the oekaki board and community for you. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!
Just off the press comes the news that Capcom will finally rerelease all the Mega Man games available for the original GameBoy / GameBoy Color to the 3DS eShop. With the Mega Man franchise now entering it's 25th anniversary, Capcom officially released the fan-made Street Fighter x Mega Man last December. More surprises are said to be in store until the end of this year. While the series has unfortunately seen it's third major cancellation in three years, with the Korean-only Rockman Online getting the axe, there have been plenty o ...

To the surprise of about no one, Mega Man failed to make an appearance at this year's E3. This was mostly expected since there was no mention of a possible game on Capcom's lineup, yet some games have shown up unexpectedly in the past.
Representatives of Capcom USA have dropped clues in the past few months that something might be underway for Mega Man's 25th Anniversay, and that we should hear about those plans later this year.
Happy birthday to the Mega Man PC Website: Dr. Cossack's Lab, as the website is now 12 years old!
This year has been a difficult one for the Mega Man fanbase, with the cancellation of the long-awaited Mega Man Legends 3 and very little else to look forward to as far as game news go. At the very least, the Archie comic has entered it's second year and seems to be here to stay! Site-wise, I've added some months ago the Mega Man games list feature so you can keep track of the ...
As reported by the Mega Man Network, voice actor Takeshi Aono passed away yesterday after being sick for the past two years. While he played multiple roles over many, many years, he was better known to Mega Man fans as the Japanese voice for Dr. Wily. He's been associated with the character for about as long as he's had a voice. The Rockman 10 Image Soundtrack included some clips by him, including this memorable speech where he declares to the world how he is the mastermind behind ...
