Lord Pheonix was BACKSTABBED, and THROWN OUT of PMM. Those bastards...

To quote the man himself...

\"The staff have committed mutiny and forcefully removed me from power, so regretably, I cancelled the hosting account once I regained control of it, as it had been taken into NyNe\'s name without my permission.\"

Yes, maybe. But as long as the site will be as good, no, as BETTER as new, I don\'t care. I don\'t know him, and maybe I don\'t want to, I just want that site back up. If LP can\'t do that, too bad, if they others can\'t too, I\'m gonna gather as much sprites as I can to start my own site.
But, erm... can somebody gimme a good site on how to make sites on your own? A friend of mine is an expert on it (he says), but he isn\'t really willing to help. So any help you can give me, will be greatly appreciated.

The other side of the story, Neo-PMM\'s side can be found at www.teamwe.com

And yes, I call it Neo-PMM. Why? Because it is no longer the PMM I used to know. I side with Lord Phoenix on this. At least in part. True, wiping the site may have been somewhat harsh, but taking that which didn\'t belong to them was completely out of line. That is something that clinches it for me.

BTW, I\'m not accusing her or anything, rather quite the opposite, but didn\'t Mana used to be on the staff at PMM? If she was--and still is--I\'d like to hear what\'s being said behind the PR front.

Yes, that\'s the bad part of the story. I don\'t take sides here, I just want to have the good ol\' PMM back. If not, hope it\'ll be better. If that not too, I side with you and LP, taking what\'s not yours is NOT a good thing, that\'s stealing, and they know it.
And I also would like to hear that Mana-person\'s opinion on this sub

Hahahahahaha

This only happens to immature 17-year olds (or persons with the same mental capacity). I have been through shit like this many many times over, and I giggle everytime I see it now.

This is why Doc\'s site stays perfect, and alot of other MM sites tank.

1. Too many admins! One is fine, why do these sites need 20?

2. Too many mods as well. Things get far too chaotic.

3. Bias. Usually the admins/owners \"hire\" people that they LIKE/are friends with, and not because they\'d be a good admin/mod. This causes the forums/etc to be overrun with mod morons that don\'t know what the hell they\'re doing.

4. Far too intensive. Alot of these kiddies think that they can do everything dealing with a certain game series or what have you, but their eyes are bigger than their stomachs so to speak. So they end up overworking themselves, becoming ornery.

5. Users that don\'t respect others. There are always users that attack admins and such for not having the boards up, not having the sprite pages up *cough*, not modding fast enough, etc. This seems like a small thing, but it really adds up on a big site like PMM and stresses the whole staff.

Any or all of those things causes the site structure to cave in on itself.

Also, having someone that isn\'t the true owner of the site pay for the space is a HORRIBLE idea. Poor Lord Phoenix. Maybe he\'ll make his own site someday and it\'ll be ten times better than PMM.

(Personally I can\'t stand PMM because of some of the admins/mods there, they\'ve treated some of my friends pretty badly. And that\'s also why I can\'t stand MMN or whatever the hell it\'s called now.. )

Well hrmm... I\'m sure the entire staff probably has a story to tell. You know, as persuasive as Lord Pheonix is, I\'m sure the others have something to say as well. Yeah, I\'ll admit, it was mess-o stupid to usurp the owner\'s position in his own site (I didn\'t know that was even possible). Also, it probably won\'t end out for the best, now that I think about it. However, I\'m still checking PMM for news and such. It may be a worse sight now, but I\'ll bet it\'s still worth checking, maybe it\'s just not worth knowing the current mods.

Yes, indeed. TWENTY is WAY too much. 2 or 3 might just be okay, 1 is best. As long as he stays to the Admin Rules, eh?

Yeah. 3-5 Mods with 1 Admin seems best. But it was also a very big site...

Yeah, that is a BIG problem. If I ever become a Mod, or even an Admin at my own site, I\'d definately have to act different than the guy that\'s posting here.
And, even though the one friend who wants to make a site with me is a great friend, but also a bit n00bish. Admins got to have Admin Attitudes, not N00b Ones.

YEAH! RELAX PEOPLE! Okay, I get online here alot, but overall, there would be few people more relaxed (non-high) people out there.

Yeah. I hate myself... I\'m an @$$. A dick.
And whatever you\'d be able to call me...
I can wait, that\'s not the problem, but I also want that those people don\'t have problems amongst themselves. That way, it\'s nicer for both them AND us.

Uh, Hollow, PMM was Lord Phoenix\'s own site. It was his brainchild, and etc.

... Lord Phoenix WAS funding PMM... that\'s how he was able to request that the host take it down... The other staffers were only able to get it working again because they have backups.

I feel bad for Lord Phoenix. This shouldn\'t have happened and to be perfectly honest I knew it would come to this sooner or later but Lord Phoenix needed to do some \"downsizing\" if you ask me

What I don\'t get is how everyone had \"ambitions\" for the site... like what? It seemed like a fine run to me. How much more do they want on it? They had great news coverage, a good image gallery, a \"pic of the day\" that ACTUALLY updated (that says a lot to me)... so they were doing pretty good for a MM site. What direction are the new owners planning to head in?

From what I know, it\'s not that they wanted to head in a new direction... just that the staffers wanted Phoenix to split the power evenly among them. They all wanted to be a mighty group of admins, rather than a sub-staff to one admin.

I must admit, I\'ve been comparing this situation to my own staff at Battle-Network Universe. And yes, most of the staff are good friends I hired on, but I also did so because I trust them. There are some cases when you actually want to have friends on your staff, and in LP\'s case... his mistake was not having enough on HIS.
(I\'m not saying this is all LP\'s fault... heavens no. I stand alongside everyone else who sticks up for Phoenix, I\'m just saying a strong bond never hurt anyone...)

That would be like getting a bunch of people to overthrow me so that the Mega Man PC Website would post all sort of Mega Man-related news everyday. Just because I would be gone, that COULD happen. However, do you really want that? Change the head, and a website can very well lose it\'s identity fast.

Eh! I never understood that either. I can understand giving partial rights to the news posting system, the moderation tools, FTP access... But having EVERYTHING controlled by someone else than the admin? I\'m far from convinced.

Oh, I KNOW PMM was LP\'s site.

I just know that he won\'t get it back now unless he wants to waste time and money. So I was saying, that maybe someday he will make a site better than PMM..since he\'s never going to get it back unless something else crazy happens.

My friend Obelisk (Once joined up here as Jigoku Neko...) has lost complete and total respect for PMM\'s staff. He refuses to visit even SpritesInc. Even I can\'t blame him, and SpritesInc is one of my favorite sprite sources in the entire net. ;_; Where else are we going to get our extensive collection of MegaMan sprites from A to Zinc?

Uh... I guess if you\'re keeping up with PMM, you probably already know this, but I just checked back today and apparently LP is back in the seat of power. Apologies went around, they lost four or so mods, and I guess they\'re working on rebuilding now.

Ah, phew... too bad some mods had to leave, but LP said that they may come back, and he\'d love to have to, but having a less chaotic amount of mods is also quite nice.
I hope they can get along from now on, not just with PMM, but in whole. They are a team, and they know it. Keep it up you fellas there!
