Actually, I was going to suggest Apple, which while suffers from some compatability problems, if you hate Microsoft\'s products that much, wouldn\'t you be willing to make some sacrifice?

The XBox was never a good system to begin with. Name atleast 20 good games on it... I didn\'t get past 5.

XBox360 sucks too, ooo, a new generation of XBox... Maybe we can hope for 10 good games!!!

Yep. It always annoys me when Xbox fanboys always try to make it seem like the Xbox came out on top and that more people preferred it. The Xbox competed with the Gamecube for second place. Nobody really competed with Sony for first. The sales for the PS2 were so much higher.

Macs aren\'t any better. If you get a Mac, you lose all your games but gain better photomanipulation and office abilities. And they\'re not exactly stable either. And I do assume we\'re gamers around here yes?

I don\'t believe any of us would sacrifice our games just to have a more stable system. Now, if Linux had easy install and was as compatible as Windows? I\'d use it in a heartbeat. In the meantime I will complain about the BSOD\'s and the pagefaults and Microsoft as a whole.

Meh, I\'m still convinced that there is a viable alternative for Windows out there, or there could be.

EDIT: There\'s an OS that looks promising called ReactOS - www.reactos.com, it\'s supposed to be able to run Windows based software/hardware (without emulation) as emulation is sort of slow, it\'s a new OS but it needs some work still, it\'s under the GPL like many Linux ditributions so no need to buy it, it isn\'t Linux though it\'s \"ReactOS\" should check into it, even if just out of curiosity.

However because of how powerful the 360 is supposed to be I heard many Playstation game designers have signed onto developing games for the 360. Anybody got news about this?

Actually, most conversations I recall having with AirMan had him responding either bitterly or sarcastically towards me. Secondly, I recall a time when I had posted a joke topic that several people found funny, but he deliberately ruined the joke simply because he didn\'t. Not that the cat rant helped matters at all. IIRC, there was one time he was adamant on believing the president was such an idiot that he\'d wear one of the One Ring trinkets even after the photo was said to be fake. I may be a little snippy towards Samsara, but I find it hard to be civil when someone makes a comment about to stop my cat from destroying nature (A furry terminator, imagine that?) I \"don\'t even have to kill that cat\", as if that was even a viable solution to begin with!

Secondly, my defense of Microsoft is mostly out of frustration. Not from this board so much, but a lot of places I\'ve been have had utter malice for Microsoft. Now I won\'t say their perfect. They\'ve fucked up more than their fair share of times (Windows ME comes to mind), but give them some credit at least. It\'s not like they haven\'t had successful things too.

And finally, I really don\'t like to remember all that shit I did regarding Hollow. Makes me embarrassed to even be on this board.

And as for Microsoft stealing PS2\'s game designers, whatever. (If they are, the game designers probably designed crappy games that I never looked at. Also, the designers might be porting the games to 360, PS3, and Revolution. Think about it, really. It\'s a silly statement.)

The PS3 is going to be far more powerful than X-Box 360. They already said so. 360 was just plain rushed and you can even see that without owning one.

...I just want Metal Gear Solid 4, damnit. XD (though, Old Snake shaking the rations out of the terrorists might look wose than in MGS1 and 2....................... 3 was just LOL.)

Anyway, with all said and done, I do agree that the Xbox 360 thus far is a piece of shit and that I\'m looking forward to the PS3 immeasureably more.

I want the PS3 because of MGS4 and Armored Core 4. Plus, we know it\'s gonna attract a LOT of other good designers.
