I searched for this topic; didn\'t find anything. Please inform me if there is another.

Yes it is finally here! The first book from The Chronicals of Narnia is finally being turned into a movie! So is anyone going to see it? I am going on a field trip with my school to go see it. We are going to the first showing.

You can also compare the book to the movie here. ^^

~ Off Topic: Meh. I hope we have a a snow day so we don\'t have to wear our uniforms at the movie theater. We could just show up if we wanted to see it.

EDIT: I spelled \'wardrobe\' wrong. -.-;;

I feel bad for you and agree with you on the uniforms when I was in school in 5th grade I hated it.
About the movie it looks stunning visually but what i\'m worried about is depth and time length.
OT. You beat me to making the topic

The movie looks pretty good. I might check it out. Might be another thing like The Lord of the Rings. Who knows. (The people who read the book)

For anyone who doesn\'t know about Narnia, the entire series of books is an allegory of the gospel.

Meaning you\'ll get a very Christian message from the movies. If that ain\'t your cup of tea, consider that your fair warning.

I\'m going to go watch the movie tonight at midnight with a friend. More like, I was dragged to go watch the movie with the friend. ^^;

I remember reading the book but I don\'t remember much about it. The only thing that stood in my mind was that in the beginning after one of the brothers \"team up\" with the witch, the witch was offering some kind of food called \"ham delights\" or something. I wanted some every time I read that section. ^^;

But aside from that, and the whole religion thing, the books are really good. It looks like the changed alot of stuff from the book to the movie though.:rolleyes:

I have read almost all of the books. They were pretty good. \"Lord of the Rings for Kids\" so to say. I did think they were a bit boring though, but that was probably because I usually read books that don\'t use that \'old\' sort of language anymore, and they are usually \'wordier\'.

I\'ll be sure to go and watch. Probably it will remind me of Harry Potter. :o
Those two should not have come at the same time, dangit!

Off~topic~ish: And you wear uniforms at school Kagome? Gee, that aint very pleasant, I suppose. What do they look like? You don\'t need to were ties, do you? o.o

EDIT: Just watched the trailer, go here.

It looks a lot cooler than I originally thought. Now I\'ll watch it for certain. Who will get the pop-corn?

~ Off Topic: Meh, Drak blue vest, white blouse, ugly plaid skirt, knee highs (Idon\'t usually wear them though), and black school shoes. No ties. Only the guys where ties.

Yes, they were Turkish delights. ^^; It\'s been nearly 12 years since I read the book. ^^; Now that I saw them in the movie, they aren\'t what I expected them to be. I knew they were square candy, but not jelly with powder sugar (which I had before but with a different name).

Now that I saw the movie, I wasn\'t really impressed. Even though I haven\'t read the book for such a long time, I remember it was better than this. Sure, the movie had eye candy (some was sloppy) and they hit the main points in the book (memories started coming back to me and I remembered important lines that were in the book), but I feel the movie seemed lacking... in some area that I can\'t pinpoint right this moment...

I also, sadly, found myself bored watching it. I guess it was too slow even for my tastes? The acting varied between good to mediocre. I\'m still not convinced when someone cries on screen, they really mean it.

I liked that most of the Christian themes stayed in tact.

The movie is like a \"mini\" (it was a little over 2 hours long) kid version of \"Lord of the Rings.\"

Yeah, I felt like something was missing too. o.o It seemed a little rushed to me....

I know. Sometimes when Lucy was crying, it didn\'t look like she was sad. She sort of looked happy around some of the sad parts. o.o

I wasn\'t forced to read them. At first, I didn\'t even know they existed! I just found them at the library and thought: \"Hey, might be nice.\" So I took this first book home (the one that was \'movialized\') and it turned out to be neat. Well, sorta. I think I\'ll like the movie way better.

Movies about long books are always better than the actual book.

Don\'t know why I guess it\'s because peole are curious to see what the book is about but are too lazy to read them.

Actually, sometimes the books are WAY better. Not in this case though. But movies don\'t take that long to go through. I prefer to read the book first in the nights, when I\'m lying in my nice warm bed with a little lamp, reading an exiting story, and watch the movie later on.

Here you can vote on your favo Narnia book:

BTW, what do you think of the game, if it\'s already out and some of you played it.

Not true. I have found Harry Potter and The Series of Unfortunate Events\' books to be better than the movie.
I love Count Olaf in the movies though. XD
