This game I must say is great, although there are no extra enemies, upgrades, or extra wepons. It\'s just you, your horse, bow, and sword. The enviroment is huge but not so huge that you\'d get lost easily. There are 16 collosi in the game each one has it\'s own puzzle on how to get to it\'s vitals, but in the end you start climbing on it\'s hair or fur. They can be hard but exrtimely fun. Well I don\'t want to say much more give your oppinoin on how is sounds or if you played it tell how you liked it. I love it my favorite game out of my Christmas presents. Also I can give you help on any your stuck on although I haven\'t beaten them all yet. I\'ve beaten 8/16. Well all I\'ll say now is check it out.

Colossus, two S\'s. And yeah, this is the game where you just fight bosses and that\'s it, right?

Thats is correct although sometimes they feel more like puzzles then boss fights. Sorry about the error in the topic, it\'s small though.

Later on in the game you do get a lot of extra weapons, and throughout the whole deal you can eat the white tailed lizards and fruit to make your life meter/ grip meter stronger.

This game was good, really like the colossus character designs, and the ending was the best ending to a video game I\'ve ever seen. Only thing that should maybe make you hesitate from buying is it\'s pretty short. 10 hours long, 15 if you complete it fully. Definatly worth a rent though. S\'got the Gut seal of approval.

Thanks Gutter some of that I didn\'t know. I knew you could eat fruit and lizard tails but I never realized that it increased health and the grip meter. Glad you liked it.

I loved \"ICO\" so \"Shadow of the Colossus\" was an obvious buy. When I first played the demo, it was not what I was expecting. Still, I grew to love it also. Man, I love the art style....

I\'m one of the many who thinks SotC is a prequel to ICO. But...

Spoiler (click to toggle)

I do not believe Momo turned into the Dark Queen. Why would she be? Not only she raised a horned boy (which I think she did know it was Wanderer) at the end of SotC, she also couldn\'t get out of the lands of Colossi (it was surrounded by stone walls and ocean. Then again... where did the female side of Dormir go at the end of the game? (Wanderer received the male side and turned into that demon.) If I think Momo didn\'t receive the other half, how did female Domir escaped?

Dormir is actually \"Rimrod\" spelled backwards. Old Rimrod was the guy who built the Tower of Babel (symbolized as the Castle/Tower in the game) in the Bible. There are other references but I don\'t remember any more important ones. I don\'t know what the hawk (in the beginning and ending of the game) symbolizes. I know it\'s a symbol of some sort...

The ending was very bittersweet (and not to mention conflicting emotions).
Spoiler (click to toggle)

It leaves Momo left in a place that she could live and survive in, complete with hopeful music. Then ends with the a haunting cry of the hawk flying into a dark storm with no music, just the wind. o_o

I loved it because of that. I\'m so sick of happy endings...

I told myself that I will not use any form of help when playing this game. And I did just so. It feels so awarding not using GameFAQs. B) But I did check them after beating the game. I didn\'t know about the lizards and fruit before. I also didn\'t know that you could pet Argo, hang glide on the hawks, or swim with the fish.

To pet Argo, have nothing in your hands. Use the circle button when close to him.

To hang glide or swim, get close to a bird (when they get low to the ground) or to a fish. Press and hold the grab button (I forgot the button symbol). Beware: you could die from hang guiding because the birds will drop you whenever they feel like it so watch out for cliffs and flying too high up.

I beat it finally. All I have to say about the ending is \"wow\" best ending ever. Took me 9:26 hours to beat, not long, but still wow. 16 was a (excuse me) BITCH!!! I mean holy crap it took me like an hour and a half to beat it and I died only once at the first two minutes. The rest climb, fall, rest and reapeat about fifty times. it was hard but not so hard that I couldn\'t beat it. Great game no doubt I give it a 9.7. Unbeliveable game.

In what way? Is it just overrated because it was boring to most people or because it didn\'t play as a traditional puzzle or action game? Or perhaps the whole game seemed mute with \"no story.\" I don\'t know why people complain about it. It was a pretty good game. It is sad that it only got less than lukewarm sells.

I am extremely surprised that Fumita Ueda even considered making SotC making note of what happened to ICO...

\"Overrated\" is a word for games that the sells top the charts, but has the only thing going for it is the brand name and characters. *hangs head*
