Hello!

Before this gets locked and I get flamed the hell out of, I want you to know that I used the search and found nothing here about all three next gen systems. (There are many about indevidual ones, but not about all three o.0 )

Anway, so here goes:

Console wars: Which is best?

As Microsoft unleashes its Xbox 360, gamers face a difficult decision -- whether to buy the new machine or wait for the next gen consoles from Sony and Nintendo. Three game journalists present the case for their console of choice.

Microsoft Xbox 360

Xbox 360 is the first console to take advantage of the new high definition standard. All games made for the console will run in this new widescreen graphical format which, if you have the correct screen, is the biggest leap forward for games graphics since the first home 3D games in 1995.

Sony PS3

To really get the most out of the PS3, you are going to need to get involved with high definition TV. The console is equipped with two HDMI outputs which, when hooked up to a compatible Plasma or LCD display, will result in images of unparalleled clarity and detail.

Nintendo Revolution

While the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 can offer improved graphics and sound, Nintendo, with their amazing new controller, are promising to change the way you actually play games forever.

Hmm.... Very interesting indeed. Now I know more about the PS3 and what to get in order to have the best impact. Can wait though. I want to get the most out of my PS2 games before they become obsolete. Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4: Solid Snake are gonna be fun, I hope.

From what I gather from following an Ubi board for a few months now, the next gen version of Splinter Cell 4 is looking to be pretty good. Likely a Q1 360 game.

And no. I\'m far from a Microsoft fanboy.

I still think these consoles aren\'t very \"next gen\" at all. They\'re not very impressive steps up..like say, from the N64 to the Gamecube impressive. It\'s just more of the same, blah blah blah.. Like Atari 4800 and 2600 and whatever else. :P

you know, sometimes i think Microsoft is WAY too early with releasing their Next-Gen console.

around August or September 2006 would be a lot better, a lot of flaws in the 360 can be repaired by then too. i heard there are a lot of bugs in it. that\'s why i\'m waiting for the Revolution, cuz Nintendo = Quality products :D, don\'t you agree with me? as far as i know a lot of people had dead pixels on their PSP and didn\'t get a new unless they had more than 4 or 5 dead ones (that was solved later) and now the 360 is causing some problems.

but perhaps the PS3 is coming in my room too because of MGS4 and Final Fantasy 13 (if it comes).

I thought MGS4\'s subtitle was \'Guns of the Patriots\'?

and hollow, i agree with you on the ps3 and 360 not being so next-gen, but just by looking at a revolution\'s controller, wouldn\'t you say it\'s definatley something new (game wise)?

You don\'t understand the nature of it. Microsoft don\'t nesecarily care about fixing bugs early on. Not compared to beating the competition. At the moment, Xbox 360 is the only next gen system around. There is no competition. This means that at the moment, there is the most money in it for them.

To clear it all up the title for MGS4 is \"Guns of patriots\" BTW we should request a merge with this topic and my old Topic on this but oh well.
