Well lately as I start up the computer I see in the upper right corner a cube that was there never before. Can someone help me?
The only things I know:

1:it\'s probably a virus because the pc crashes 15 minutes after I started internet
2:I can only shut the cube off with clicking on it and press alt+F4

Ask these guys they\'ll know how to help.

Do you think you ould save the pictures as JPEG or something? Those images take ages to download and I have 2 Meg Broadband!

At first I thought you were talking about dead pixels, but there\'s clearly something there...

So, that\'s not a part of the background, is it?

Is it a icon gone awry? (Can you delete it, that is?)

well I can\'t delete it with my two antispyware programs(spybot and A2) and my virus scanner w can\'t delete it neither (kaspersky). The cube isnt part of the background because it can shut of by alt+F4. And in my haste i save the pic as bmp not jpeg sorry. well the pc isn\'t such that very fast (5min for startup) but it\'s xp.
And those links ill change them as soon as possible.

You know that link I gave earlier in the topic. That site has a huge spyware index take a look for it there and it will rate the threat etc., and it will tell you how to get rid of it. If nothing works then they have a program to download there called Hijack This! that you download which monitors your computer for abnormal activity andd you submit the logs to them after a couple days after that they will tell you how to blow it up permanently.

Try \"Right-Clicking\" it to see what you get. If the option is there, Minimize it, then what it is should be shown at the bottom of ther screen.

Or try douuble-clicking, as that enlarges a window to its maximum size...

I dunno...Sounds pretty freaky to me...I\'ve had strange things happen on my comp that were unexplainable, but nothing like this...I dunno what to say...Maybe it pops up as a program in the Task Manager? To get that, press Ctr-Alt-Dlt simultaniously and click the option \"Task Manager\" That should show you all the stuff your computer is doing...

Oh, I know! Maybe if you check there, one of the programs may be using all the CPU! IE does that to me when I turn my comp on, but then I cancel the process and its fine...

Yes, this sounds like the best thing to do, but another option is to do a find program for the day the program was installed by searching \"date modified\" and selecting from day noticed to day noticed.
