Okay so here\'s the thing. I have heard very little about FFXI so all I know is that it is an MMORPG and not like a normal Final Fantasy game at all. But how does that work??:conf:

Well, it\'s sorta like every MMORPG, except it\'s made by Square-Enix. That\'s the only difference.

Oh, So it really doesn\'t have much to do with Final Fantasy at all does it?

Basically ANYTHING could be a FF game. It just has to be an RPG, have different classes, a hero with a big sword, lots of magic that includes -ra and -ga, summoning monsters and must be made by Square(Enix).

this is one of the few, maybe the only, FF game which goes online, most of the FF-style is still in the game like summoning or using Fira or Thundraga, or just mashing your opponents with a sword, but you need a specific class to do that. also this game doesn\'t have a sort of a storyline.

maybe this site helps a bit

Oddly enough, Chrono Trigger falls under this category.

It\'s an RPG.
Dunno about the classes thing, but Ayla is the \"thief\".
Crono has a big sword.
The original japanese spell names are of the -ra and -ga type.
No summon monsters though (Triple Techs are somewhat like the uber summon monsters though I guess).
It was made by Square and Enix.
