I\'ve been reading another one of Wind\'s topics-- \"Common traits of the 06 Emos\" When I started thinking, \"What do most people think of when they hear the word Emo, or Punk?\" Yes, the two are very different, but some people may think otherwise.
So, I ask you: What do you think a Goth is? What do you think a Punk is? What do you think a \"Emo\" is? What is it in your head? Is it right?

These are labels and many uncategorized people fall under said labels.
For instance, I know that there are \"real\" versions of those you listed and \"fakers\". For instance, someone who listens to Green Day and dyes their hair green is NOT Punk no matter what they tell you. 
Green Day is not true Punk at all...

And by the way, Green Day are too complicated to describe. They had a lot of music which is as punk as the next guys. Then they had the ballads, such as Good Riddance and Macy\'s Day Parade. Then they just had the normal not-particulary-anything music. And their American Idiot is different again. They are punk, but among other things.
These are all words for people that just lack a certain zing spice.. machismo if you will. And are rendered no where near as cool as me!
I once ruled Interordi with an iron fist.
