Ben 10 is an American animated television series created by Man of Action (a group consisting of Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle), and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Its style is partially influenced by anime, much like Teen Titans; Alex Soto, who also worked on Teen Titans, is the supervising producer, The pilot episode aired on December 27, 2005 as part of a sneak peek of Cartoon Network\'s new Saturday morning lineup. The second episode was shown as a special on Cartoon Network\'s Fridays on January 13, 2006, on which the first and second episodes were shown back-to-back. Currently, Ben 10 airs every Saturday morning (10:00 A.M. EST/PST), as part of their new action lineup on Saturday morning. The theme song for the show is written by Andy Sturmer and sung by Moxy.

When 10-year-old Ben Tennyson discovers a mysterious device, called the Omnitrix, it bestowes him with the ability to transform into ten different alien heroes, each with unique powers. With these abilities at his disposal, Ben realizes that he has a greater responsibility to help others and stop evildoers, but that doesn’t mean he\'s above a little superpowered mischief now and then.

There y\'go! I\'m watching it right now, and I gotta say, I\'m impressed.

It\'s also got one of the niftiest theme-songs! Xp I\'d put the lyrics here if I could remember what the very first line was... I know the rest allready.

I finally don\'t like a new Cartoon Network show, and everyone else does.

Nah, I don\'t care for it much. I even like the animation style, but the thing that throws me off is that every character really fails to be cool. Ben is ok, but seems really canned. Each of his morphs is ok, but most of them suffer from one little flaw, such as how they lose their cool alien look by wearing Ben\'s original clothes or have the most stereotypical voice actor ever (flame transformation). His sister is just too smarmy and has horribly vibrant hair. And out of all the older father figures, why would they choose that guy? I mean, I\'m usually a fan of those characters, but this guy isn\'t exactly oozing character value.

All in all, I should like the show. It\'s just that they seemed to mess up just a little bit on each character. And I don\'t really like the theme song. I\'m sorry. -_-

Predictable voices? You haven\'t heard Four-Arms then, have you? XD

I have to agree on the characters, though. Considering the current age of on-the-edge entertainment, their personalities seem almost cliche and corny, but only ALMOST...

The one you\'re missing is Wildmutt. So in all thats: Fourarms, Upgrade, Heatblast, Stinkfly, Ripjaw, Ghostfreak, Grey Matter, Diamondhead, XLR8, and Wildmutt.

Well that\'s enough to make me hate it and want it to die quickly and painfully.

It\'s bad enough when kids like Saturday Morning heavily edited anime, even worse when they purposely watch american shoddy ripoff anime.

What spider said.
I hate these failed attempts at American anime. The only one that really in my opinion is any good is IGPX. Either way I wanted to drive a spike in my head after my mom forced me to watch this with my sister so my sis wouldn\'t be alone.

I suppose to each his own. I personally like the show. For once, Robin isn\'t some ambiguously gay sidekick sputtering things like \"Leapin\' Lampreys!\", or \"Jumping Jellybeans!\". And the action? Wow... I never thought I\'d see anything that kicked more ass than DBZ...

Seriously. People don\'t realize that, love it or leave it, people are putting TIME into these shows. They aren\'t simply cheap anime knockoffs. I will admit, Teen Titans does overuse anime effects occasionally. Some, especially early on, were used way too much in pretty unneccesary places. But the action, from episode 1, has been amazing. There are characters I think are cool, fight scenes that are intense, jokes I think are funny, even some of the psuedo-anime expressions are neat. All and all, it\'s really biasing to ignore it simply because it\'s psuedo-anime.

On another note, people who hoop BEN 10 in as a psuedo-anime might want to note the disticnt lack of anime expressions in it.

*sigh* Heat, you can be such a n00b sometimes. When are you going to get it that logic has no place on the internet? Oh, wait a second...

It does have a place. It\'s generalizing and shutting things down without giving them a fair shot that doesn\'t have a place on the net.

That said, Ben 10 is not my favorite show. But it\'s OK, and if you\'re going to trash it, at least sit the hell down and watch the damn show at least once.

I think the shows okay, and I watch it every once in a while. It\'s not the worst western too-heavily anime-influenced show I\'ve ever seen. Totally Spies holds that title easily (I hate that show).

And now a quote from one of my friends after seeing the previews: \"He\'ll probably get an eleventh alien in the last episode.\"

Well, you know, as usual, my brother said something I forgot to. Ditto everything Heat said, pretty much. :P

On another note, I watched a pretty good little episode of it a little while ago. Fourarms is enjoyable, Flare, you have a point. I think that\'s my favorite transformation... *still hates the fire one\'s voice*

It\'s not bad. I\'d still take another season of Teen Titans though.

I can see commercials and judge a show based on that alone.

The X\'s on Nickelodeon. Ugly. Family sitcom with spy stuff added. How original.

Kappa Mikey. Another anime ripoff. Looks like it was done in Flash. Awful.

Teen Titans. Ugly designs. Anime ripoff. The damned themesong is sung by a j-rock band or something isn\'t it? Pointless. If I wanted to watch something like this I\'d watch the old X-Men cartoon, which was all-american and actually good.

Ben 10..anime ripoff. I am not going to support this awful fad any longer.

I wish they\'d do cartoons like Real Ghostbusters was done. Korean animators so it had an anime \"quality\" to it..but no overexaggerated anime expressions and it wasn\'t trying to be something it\'s not.

I\'m just sick of company bigwigs thinking \"Hey lets make a new show that rips off Miyazaki\'s works (Avatar cough cough) because obviously stupid fanbrats will watch anything that even remotely looks like anime\"

And of course, the fanbrats do.

And of course, the execs were right, and they get their christmas bonus.

Anyways when I want to watch a cartoon I will choose either american or anime, I don\'t want them having children together unless of course it\'s something like Kingdom Hearts (nix twenty sequels to empty parents pockets). I want DBZ, or Spongebob. I don\'t want Spongebob going Super Saiyan or Vegeta jellyfishing (even though that\'d be hilarious).
