I can\'t believe that anyone pointed this out until now...

Capcom USA just issued a press release to confirm Mega Man Battle Network 6\'s eventual release in North America. Right in the middle of the article, among the various features listed, you can read:
\"Each Cybeast is the final boss for the two versions\"

I can\'t be the only one who thinks that this is completely stupid! Capcom is spoiling the final boss of the game in a press release, the place where you\'re the less likely to encounter such killing spoilers! Figuring out who the final boss could be is part of the fun of RPGs, and they simply reveal it right away. I know that Caocom does stupid things once in a while, but they really outdid themselves now.

You should\'ve put that in spoilers, but you are right for them to publicaly spoil the game is horrible!

Yes, this isn\'t really to say smart. I figured the beasts would be:

Spoiler (click to toggle)
1. The End Boss.

2. Some important character which you\'d have to battle some time, maybe after the storyline had finished,

or:

3. Just some important character, which you couldn\'t battle.

Thank you, CoA!

Well, it was predictable, but that was still a bad move. Saying perhaps just that the end boss varies between versions would have been better...

Sob sob, I\'m getting Faltzer version. I\'m going to hate fighting a giant pheonix as my last boss.

Lesee. Greiga looks like a Gospel, who looks like Treble, who is associated with Bass, who is loved by fanboys, who are hated by me. By the transitive property, I technically hate Greiga.

The problem is that Aim and I, whenever split versions of a game are released like this, usually one of us gets one version and the other the alternate version. In this case, Aim was kind enough to give me Greiga because it had Heatman.EXE in it.

Otherwise, I honestly would have taken Faltzer. Red Pheonix vs. Blue Wolf? :P

Well, they really cut to the chase eh?

Good for me that I won\'t play it until years from now (I haven\'t even beat MMBN3). By then, I think I would have forgotten that the last boss(es) are on the front cover and that anytime in the game, I shouldn\'t trust those characters. XP

You know what I actually hate mostly? Greiga\'s American name: Gregar.

What the!

Come ON. What was wrong with \'Greiga\'?

And instead of \'Cyberbeast\' they shortened it down to \'Cybeast\'. Jeez...

You\'ll know when you click.

To be honest, you should probably stop there. They jumped the shark with MMBN after 3.

Japan knew the Cyberbeasts were the final bosses long before the games were released >_>

Spoiler (click to toggle)
Thing is, you meet the final boss really early into the game, and spend a majority of the time trying to quell the WWW while keeping the power of the beasts at bay. Gameplay wise, BN6 uses the same folder tactics as previous games in that your preferred forms will make you style a folder around it, but Capcom opted to make some powerful PAs (bording on overpowered with the right folders) so you can make a non form (Cross) folder.
I personally like to use my Crosses.

As for which game is better of the two versions? Depends. If you want brute power in your Crosses (You have many ways to overpower a large area with strong one hit attacks with your Beast Crosses), then Gregar is the version for you. Course that\'s the game\'s fault, save for two Crosses, there is little variety between most of them aside from \"Chip + 50!\"
If you\'re more of a tactical person who likes to use unique abilities of each form, then Falzar is your ideal choice. All the crosses in that game have different effects, much like Souls.

In fact, I\'ll do a rundown...

Spoiler (click to toggle)
http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/game/929992.html

Tada! Click on Cross Beast Guide for all the info!

I\'ve already done everything in Faltzer, so I\'ll legally buy Gregar when it comes out >_>

Father Carius: These sad events may yet be made to work in our favor. I wish to send Elena to Granas Cathedral immediately. It is rumored that his Holiness, Zera, knows of an ancient sacrament which has the power to cleanse the Soul of Darkness. The rite would free Elena and shield others from the taint of evil. We may again be able to seal the Wings again. Such an act would delay Valmar's return. However, those that follow Darkness will not sit idly as our plans come to fruition.

I know, Neko, that you\'re posting correctly and using spoilers and all, but I can\'t help but be irritated when you use that \"Sorry, wrong\" tone when mentioning Maverick Hunter X and MMBN6, considering you\'ve played them illegally, apparently. It\'s not that you\'re spamming or anything, you\'re just being rude considering most of us haven\'t even played the games yet (not to mention that you yourself must have played it through questionable sources). Can\'t you guys just wait to play the game when it comes out?<_<

Or did you actually import the game?

Guess what? Other people have played EXE6 on their comps too! Most people on this board may not have, but if you go to Gamefaqs, EXE Undersquare, Megaman Network and more, you\'ll find out that a majority of the BN groups there HAVE in fact played both Rockman EXE 6 games.
Now if playing emulators and roms is considered rude, then why sport a board talking about Rom hacks? Does this mean you condemn all the spriters who use Emulators to accquire sprites/backgrounds, like Reploid Hunter Iris\' author, who has a BN6 sprite in a comc? Does that mean Sprites Inc should burn in hades for having BN6 spritesheets? I find it more rude when people damn people who play emulators, like we\'re some kind of scum. At least I plan on buying one of the versions when they come out here, unlike others who get the Rom and leave it at that. That, and I haven\'t seen anyone else gripe about me and others sporting the rom. Oh, and I used Google, like many others.
I was actually pretty late in doing so myself, and that was because I really wanted to play it, and guess what? It was a blast! So much that I want to actually BUY the game upon NA release! I want to play through the game in full English and not on a keyboard now that I\'ve experienced the fun of 6.

Jesus, I try to help and explain things and I get the hounds thrown upon me. I simply cannot WAIT to see what happens if I end up \"flaming\" someone. </bitter sarcasm.>

Indeed they are, so I\'ll get back onto my original point. The Cyberbeasts (what are they? You have to find that out yourselves ;).

It was widely established that they were version exclusive end bosses in Japan upon EXE6\'s announcement as well. So its not Capcom of America\'s fault completely, but CoJ\'s fault as well.

Bad move or not? We\'ll have to see...

The thing is that Capcom of America has this odd paradigm that we find it FUNNY how they change alld the names into 8 character \"Filenames\" in these games. Look at BN4, Burnerman is 9 characters, so what happens? \"Burnman\" is introduced.
That\'s just how it is, if a name has over 8 letters in it, Capcom WILL change it under most circumstances. How Tomahawkman was spared (well, in battle his name was shortened to TmhkMan) I\'ll never know. So that said let\'s take a look at the important terms for those who are curious:

Spoiler (click to toggle)
Groundman-I see a change
Dustman-No change
TomahawkMan-Same as BN5
Killerman-Oh THIS one will be changed
Chargeman-Will be changed
Tenguman-Barely makes the cut
Slashman-Barely makes the cut, but will probably be changed to say, Clawman
Aquaman-No change
Heatman-No change
Diveman-No change
Judgeman-Barely makes the cut
Circusman-Will be changed
Protoman-No change
Colonel-No change
Bass-No change, of course, though his new ultimate form may be changed from BX to something else
Iris-No change
Barrel-Baryl
Kojiro-Possible change?
Atsuka-Possible change?
And then there are the link Navi operators, I suspect a majority of them will be changed, although \"Mr. Press\" won\'t be.
