I go with DS, there are only two games for the PSP I actually want it for. MHX and Powered Up.

Yes, those two are really the only titles that jump out at me. The movies are bologna.

But, I recently learned that a SNES emulator can be downloaded onto PSP, which means it\'s potentially a handheld SNES. That boosts it up in my book.

Tie!

DS for sure! Sony is attacking Nintendo at it\'s strongest point! Would YOU attack a knight\'s shield when his face is WIDE OPEN!!?? No of course not! That\'s just stupid.... I guess Sony doesn\'t think so *cough$250isBScough*

I will choose DS, the DS wont go out of style like the PSP will soon enough by its own company.

I am going with the PSP myself. I own both but I have alot more fun with the PSP. I mean the touch screen just feels almost gimmicky to me. The PSP has amazing graphics compaired to the DS and I find there are alot more apealing games to an age group closer to my own. And what really puts it in first for me is MHX, I mean it is a port of the first x game! Which happens to be my first and favorite megaman game ^-^

Regarding the snes emulator, if you ever got a software update or were to buy a psp like NOW, you wouldn\'t be alowed to use the emulators cuz the more recent updates prevent them from being used.

Both, I can\'t choose. I have them both, and like them equally. For me it\'s all about games, they both have(or will have) games I like.

DS here, definitely. Some of the games are catchy, and the system has the potential to receive some of the best 2D platformers ever. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is a good example of this. The Nintendo DS has every feature that made the GBA great, and adds a lot of stuff into it. The touch screen is just perfect for some games, too.

I think there\'s a problem when some of the best games for a system are those that were released 10 years ago on your competitor\'s console... :P

No kidding. Xp

I have to admit, the PSP looks like fun, but I ahve to agree with Mr. Mettaur, the DS has just so many awesome games on it, whereas PSP ONLY has RockMan RockMan and MHX... granted, those are pwnawesome games to look forward to, but there\'s so many more equally-awesome games on the DS.

MarioKartDS, Castlevania: DoS, Kirby Canvas Curse, THE NEW AND UPCOMING MEGAMAN ZX... need I go on?

Though I have to admit, cleaning the touch-screen has become rather annoying...

High five! *clap*

It\'s like I said; Sega tried this, Atari tried this, soooo many companies have tried to challenge Nintendo\'s hand held market... and have all failed!!! So shall be Sony\'s fate!

PSP has a few interesting games, but it\'s too expensive for my budget. DS also has interesting games and I like how Nintendo tries to make gaming a different experience. So I go with DS.

I am sorry for betraying you, Nintend. I truly adore your handheld-ness and the MMZ series is GOD but...

I have a PSP! It has FPS\'s, Armored Core MHX, MM Powered Up...And there will be more!

But if there is gonna be a Zero 5 (I hope) and it comes out for the DS, then the DS will be mine.

And Wind (or anybody for that matter)? If you come across some good emu\'s for 2.0 and above, PM me the links, please.

Hm.. PSP is a nice handheld, but the DS is just plain more fun. Most of the games out for the PSP don\'t seem that much fun, plus a good amount of the games are just remakes or ports. I\'m not saying they\'re bad, but some new games would be great. I\'d say the PSP is more of a application/ music/ video thing instead of a gaming electronic.

I play Counter-Strike and 2D fighters.

I hate to go back and complain about somthing I just praised. But the PSP is a pain in the butt to clean well! I mean it has a sleek and shiney look to it but that also means it gets smudged reeeeally easily. The DS on the other hand you only have to worry about cleaning the screens. Just thought I should add that.

Let\'s be fair to Sega here. The Game Gear stayed in stores for 5 or 6 years. That\'s the average life of a video game system, so I think it was successful, even if it was always in second place for it\'s whole life.

Hey, I have a PSP and I <3 it. It\'s sleek and nice. (Metal Gear Acid is so much fun to play. XD)

...though, I\'d like a Nintendo DS but I can\'t afford one. =(

(The only reason why I have a PSP is because my fiance bought it for my birthday/graduation present last year.)

It\'s really a tie for me. They both can do some pretty neat stuff, like somebody that mentioned the SNES emulator. And DS has some good games. So tie.

Bah simply the DS I could rant about this for the whole rest of the page, but think of it this way. PSP has no battery life and also tons of disappointing games.

I don\'t have a PSP, but it seems like there are more movies out for it then there are games. I mean its supposed to be a videogame system not another portable DVD player. DS\'s are cool, I can afford that seeing as it doesn\'t cost 200$. The touch screen goes for more interactive gameplay also and there are actually games for it.

Ya know, The battery life is fine, I don\'t see why people complain about it all the time. I mean if you charge it at night every night there should theoreticly be no ptoblems anyway.

I personally think people sometimes overate the PSP(not here though) I have heard completely wild stories that it has as good as graphics from the Xbox or that its graphics aren\'t even as good as the DS.

only for Maverick Munter X and MM Powered up i would buy a PSP.

the DS is very original because it has 2 screens, almost no handheld has that, and the touch screen makes it even greater.
i believe the PSP can\'t go online , but i\'m not really sure, DS can.
