Hello people, I\'m writing another book. Tell me what you think, and if people like it, I\'ll post more.
Split
Her eyes were beautiful, blue, glittering in the light of the setting sun. They stared intensely into my own brown eyes, and I couldn’t look away. It drove me crazy when she looked at me like that. She moved her face closer to mine, smiling a little. It made me nervous.
She whispered my name softly, coming even closer. I was shaking slightly now, both from nerves and anticipation. I had never kissed a girl before. I licked my lips, not realizing I was doing it. Our lips were mere centimeters apart.
I leaned in suddenly, but instead of kissing her, my hand grasped her throat. Her blue eyes widened in shock, but she made no move to stop me. I didn’t know what was happening.
I couldn’t control my hand, my arm, anything. My body was numb, controlled by forces unknown to me, but I could still feel my hand tightening its grip around her throat, my fingernails digging into her soft skin.
Finally, she raised her hands to grasp my wrist, trying to pull it away. By then, it was too late. I could hear her choking, see her face turning blue, the desperation growing in her eyes.
And still, I couldn’t stop. She scratched at my arm in a desperate and feeble attempt to save herself, but her movements were getting slower.
I could feel her slipping away, feel her dying. I was killing her. At last, her hands dropped away and her body went limp.
I kept my eyes glued on hers, watching as the light was drained from them. My body began shaking uncontrollably. Upon regaining my senses, I wrenched my hand away from her throat. Warm, red blood stained my fingertips where my nails had dug into her skin.
I stared at them, horrified. Then, slowly, I looked down at her lifeless body. Her blue eyes still stared at me, though they could no longer see me. Looking at them terrified me.
Tears formed in the corners of my eyes, then fell onto my cheeks. I whispered my last words to her, so softly that no one else could hear… “I love you…”
Well, that\'s it. I know, I know, it wasn\'t very good, but I tried. Please don\'t make fun of me!
It's better to be alone than ignored.
Oh, how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying.
