In a world much like that of ours today, and adventerous trainer finds what seems to be a strange gem. His Steel-Powered Charizard uses Fire Blast on it, opening a hole into the anchient past, through which many fossil Pokemon escape. The trainer is part of the evil Team Metang, a team from the future that got trapped in the present. Happy with his part in Team Metang\'s master plan, the trainer leaves.
The main character, a young child from Sapling Town decides to become a trainer despite his age. He asks Professor Cherry (a woman professor, yay) for a Pokemon. she refuses, but lets him have a supply packet to take to his/her father who studies Pokemon in the field. His/her father thanks them for the supply packet, and gives him a fossil of his/her choice. You can pick from Rage Fossil (Fire/Rock), Growth Fossil (Grass/Rock), or Pulse Fossil (Water/Rock) Suddenly, and Aerodactyl attacks. your fossil changes into a Pokemon because of the anchient presence, ancd you battle.
The farther south hyou go, the more desert and desert Pokes you encounter. The world is slowly changing, and this young trainer realizes that he/she has to stop it.
What isTeam Metang\'s Master Plan? What are the new legendaries and starters? All will be revealed in due time.

i dont understand how ther is a rock/grass pokemon??

Well thats simple look at Lileep and Cradilly.So it means if you choose a growth fossil it\'ll be a Lileep then evolve to a Cradilly.But I could be wrong.

no but the fssils are new breeds of pokemon lol they arent the regular ones(lillep is a bug/rock anyway)

Not anouther Pokemon game! I gave that stuff up at age 12. \"Now 14\" It was great at a time but now it is old.:(

I\'m 16 and I still find it interesting! age doesn\'t matter, so long as you know when to just let it go. I\'ve been playin ever since it came out in \'97 and will continue to do so until the end. It\'s like Yoshi Story; just don\'t pay attention to the korny crap.

Besides, it\'s one of the best RPG engines of all time!

New breeds? Whuzzemfokk!?

Anyway, there aren\'t new TYPES (types are Fire, Electric and Steel for instance) but there ARE new COMBINATIONS, like Steel/Fighting.

And of course, quite a lot of new Pokémon.
