I seriously doubt Gate was a murderous, evil psycho without the help of the Maverick/Zero virus. He strikes me as more of a peace-loving, deep, \"science for the betterment of live\" kind of Reploid.

I\'ve played the game, and I\'m a huge Gate fan. He didn\'t do anything violent until he caught the virus. He may have been upset his creations were killed, but he didn\'t lash out until he became infected.

He looks quite serene in this pic. Very nice for a difference.
The shading and highlighting has been done really well here, and the background is just lovely. I think his belly might be a little to flat, though, and the flow of the cape wrong, perhaps. >>

Yes, and the armor was made using Zero\'s DNA. I was doing kind of a contrast thing: The power and danger of the armor, and the true personality and will of the Reploid wearing it. That, and, the gold armor is just cool.

I really like the picture, Shadowfire; I totally agree with you on Gate\'s nature, and the contrast idea really brings that out in a cool way. Very nice job!

Of course, Shad, you HAD to know I\'d adore this. I\'ll give you any more in-depth crits and comments up on deviantart, but I still had to comment here. XD I really really like this; I don\'t see enough art of his gold armor, and that\'s too bad because it\'s very cool. I love the contrast, and I know exactly what you mean about it. I, too, think that he was peaceful. (Is my opinion of him colored by our RP? Probably! =D ) Awesome job! XD

Another good un there. My only crit really is the transparency on that one leaf showing the line through it near the leg. Other stuff, but meh, nothing that hasn\'t been said before.

There is one thing in particular that makes me doubt that Gate was such a peaceful guy. When you beat Blaze Heatnix in X6, doesn\'t Alia say something to the effect of, \"Gate was putting too many resources into Blaze Heatnix, causing him to become too powerful. He was sealed underground to contain his power.\" I might have misinterpreted that part. But, if it is indeed like that, that\'s a pretty strange thing for a peaceful scientist to do, isn\'t it?
