Today at 8:45 am my great grandfather passed away. This is definatly the hardest part of my life. I\'ve never experienced the death of a close relative until today. It has definatly made me step back and think about my life and what I\'m doing with it. I\'m just glad he got to come home from the hospital before he died becasue that\'s what he wanted...

So I was wondering if we could all share our losses (if any) on this post. Friend, Family, pet, whatever.

I\'ve only really known three losses, my grandmother, my cousin, and my grandfather. I didn\'t worry as much about my grandfather\'s because I was with him near the end... a lot of the time I still remember when I lived over at his house for the fire...

I believe that my grandfather\'s in a better place now. Meh.

Anyways, I hope things get well for you.

My grand ma died a yar ago.

Well, just be glad you even knew/met your great grandfather. I never got to see/meet any of my great grandparents.

......im srry and i had some passed ones sept. 14 and 18

they were my cousins from a car crash

the apposing ppl that crashed into the vehicle that my 2 cousins were in caused the crash..........after that day i always fell down and stressfull.....evry14th and 18th i pray for them and wish them bestest luck......and im srry for ur loss aswell

my friend was killed one day before my birthday on nov.16 2004.

I cryed for a hour when i got the call.we grew up together he got me into megaman at age 4.

man.......ur modivation died on u whoa and ur still into it

when my mom told me the accident happen i was cool at first i was just sayin \"its gonna be ok i know\"
but then day 14 of september came and my sister then told me one of my cousins were dead

i cried and cried squezzing my sister saying\"no it dint happen no no no\"

then on the 18th my mom was in the hospital with my other cousin and i was at home my mom then told me on the phone that my cousin was dead

since i was more close to that cousin more i didnt feel like crying at first but then wen i got to my room i then punched the wall and cried and cried...........*sigh*

I hit my friends bro in the gut cause they dident tell me untill it was to late i dident even know he got shot.

Hollow, at least you met your grandfather(s). I never met either of mine. My mom\'s dad was killed in a car accident, and I don\'t know what happened to my dad\'s dad. I met my great grandma on her death bed. Recent deaths in my family? One of the most awesome cats I\'ve ever had got mauled by two dogs. My brother was so angry that he took the machete and went looking for the dogs. Lol, he never found them.

I\'m also sorry for everyone\'s losses.

Yeah, like I said this is the first death of a close really close relitive. I concider myself (and the rest of my family) lucky becasue six years ago he was really sick and they only gave him six months but he made it well past that.

It\'s still hard though.

Heh, I was sitting in first period and the librarien came in my class (My aunt is the other librien so I was thinking \"Oh no. Aunt Barb works in there with her...\").

She was talking to my teacher and she looked at me and I was just like, \"No...\" then she walked towards me and I just knew what had happened. He had been sick lately...

She took me in the hall and said \"Your grandmother just called...\" I tuned out after that. I went to the office and my aunt was there waiting for me. Well great aunt. It was her father... My cousin was there too.

We cried all the way home...

Yeah, all of my great/grandparents passed away before I was born. >>

And my classmate hung himself.

I lost my grandfather from mother\'s side when I was 3. I don\'t remember much about that time, or about him. Just a few things, like where the both of us were eating strawberry pudding with our hands.

The other loss is my other grandfather, 2 years ago. When I first heard it, late in the evening, I was kind of shocked first, and slowly went up to my room. There, I started crying for a short while. When I had \'calmed down\' again, I realised what my grandfather would have said: \"Hey, don\'t worry. You\'re still here, and I\'ll be out there somewhere, too, watching. Keep on living as you always have done. Go on with life and make me proud! Phoop phoop!\"
Next day we went to our grandparents\' house, where he lay in a coffin. I went upstairs, away from the rest, and wrote down some sort of poem I wanted to put inside the coffin. Right after I was finished, my dad found me and he read what I had written, and he cried. First and only time I\'ve seen him cry. After that, we went downstairs again together. My dad copied my writings as a remembrance.

That reminds me of when I was little my dad\'s dad , Grandpa Will, would always eat corn bread in milk with me... He died when I was three from lung cancer so I don\'t remember much about it though. That\'s why this was my first major loss.


The vewings tomorrow and there is a draw in his coffin to put things in. We are putting the Eucure and Pennucle decks of cards we used to play together with him. We are also all writing him goodbyes...

Anyways I lost my Great-grandma late last year to old age.(she was 98 if you care)
Also I lost the grandpa on my dad\'s side to cancer. His last words to me were \"keep trying and never do any thing worse than hard work. I have a song inspired by him that I wrote my band played it last night actually.

I never knew any of my grandfathers. From what I heard they died of cancer or other illnesses. Anyway my grandmother died over a year ago. On Febuary 21, that is also the very day that my family fell apart, on my father\'s side.

On December 10th, I beilve, a couple of years ago. My aunt died on my mother\'s side. She was again like the glue that held her family.

Lastly, my sister, Machelle, died a year or two before I was born. I always think before I sleep or after I wake. \"What would it be like if she lived?\"

my mother told me that i had a sister b4 my older sister was born

i thought it was just a joke but she told me it was true

my mom told me she died after my mom gave birth

I can\'t help but feel guilty. I could\'ve spent more time wtih him. I didn\'t even say goodbye...

I wasn\'t home when you called but thanks anyway. So even if the phone did work I was at my grandma\'s from 9am-11 pm. Thanks for being concerned.

The vewing\'s tomorrow (Sunday) and the funeral\'s Monday so I won\'t be at school. If I don\'t get a chance to talk to anyone before Monday and if you see this in time go ahead and tell them where I am. Thanks again.

i lost both my great grandparents and 3 guinee pigs they died of old age except my first guinee pig had teeth cancer and wouldn\'t eat
