Oh. and by the way I am NOT a Sephiroth fan girl or a freak or anything. I just recently rented the movie(I've watched it about 5 times in 2 days( once in japenese, twice in english, re watched each fight scene about 3 times=Watching the movie about 5 times)and i'm going through a "Sephiroth Faze". In about a week or two I will be less "Sephirothed". Ok? And just to get this clear I am a male humanoid.(at least I think...)

Wow. I didn't know that a CGI film could have such a damaging effect of someone's psyche. I suggest you do something productive. Try to learn how to ride a bike or color within the lines. Remember: Sephiroth Fanboydom, we can fight it together!

Seriously, why are people so in love with this movie? I ask the same thing when ever someone mentions the game. I just don't understand how shallow characters and bland dialouge covered in gloss makes for a good film.

I rank this movie right along with the other CGI films that have come out in the last 10 years. It's not as good as Toy Story, the first Ice Age, or Shrek though. Those movies were good because you didn't have to sit through a boring game to understand them.

That's why video game/comic book/novle to cinima often fails. You will rarely understand what's going on unless you are familure with the source material.

Also, I thought that Sephiroth looked like he was on anti-depressents when she was on screen. That broad is ugly. She should lay off the meth or something.

But Sephiroth is real and exists in an alternate dimension.. =\ We will hurt his feelings.

GASP. Have you even PLAYED the game? I bet you didn't backtrack in Disc 3 to Nibelheim to get that little piece of information that made that paragraph Tifa tells you while Cloud is in the wheelchair make sense... That's why alot of people don't understand the majesty of this game.

You naysayers fail to understand the complexity that is contained within FF7:AC.
There are several key motifs that contribute to a larger message throughout the piece, and I'm obliged to hold your hand while I lead you to a greater understanding of it.

One of these themes is hair. Advent Children seemingly has commentary on how hair has synchronicity with our persona, and its ability to define our humanity. An illustration of this is found in the conflict between Cloud and Sephiroth's hairstyles; spiky and short, contrasted by long and straight. The metaphor here clearly shows the differences in moral stature between the characters.

Nearing the end of the movie, it is possible to discern the relocation of several pieces of Cloud's hair. To many audiences, it is a detail overlooked, but it is visual manifestation of how deeply Cloud's character has changed throughout the movie.

Advent Children is a beautiful studypiece that showcases an incredible amount of depth to those who are able to see past its glossy exterior.

Ok. The movie is still great. But I did take a chill pill(great suggestion Morphman). And I did kind of exagerate(is that spelled right?) I probbably watched it twice in english( I watched it 2 times because my brother did not see it and I had to watch it with him again). And now that I think about it I didn't even watch the whole movie in japenese, only each fight once. Then I watched each fight again once. So may have exagerated a little at first. Still though, Sephiroth is cool.

Sephiroth is most certainly not cool, by the sheer token that fanboys think he IS cool.

I loved the fight scens to.

To think of it, the three "stooges" that popped up were just those *bleep* Sephiroth clones. They were like, everywhere in FF7 and something about them self destructing... augh, I don't even remember FF7 that well... just that I hated the safe.

I guess I can understand how you people don't like something because it's overhyped. See... My confession is that I hate Zero with a passion because he's an overhyped, over fandomized character. Since I don't get into the FF7 fandom, I continue to like it because it hasn't been spoiled for me. =P

But Break, if it was a FF9 movie I'd buy two copies too. One for Necro. You know how he likes that game. And so do I. Best FF on the PSX. I still prefer FF 8 but I just like the characters alot.. Garnet, Eiko, and Zidane I could not stand..

But anyways, yeah Rioni, it's like Zero. I know alot of people don't like Zero. I don't like him for his fanbase either. "lolz he has a sword which doesn't mesh with the Megaman gameplay anyway but he's sooo kewl becuz of it" But well, he WAS my favorite MM character so I keep drawing him. Whatever.

I think FF7 is even worse though, because people will tell you straight to your face that it has no plotholes and actually BELIEVE themselves.

Aaaah... See, I have a magic plothole filler called "rationalization" XD I can even make the Megaman timeline make sense if I put my mind to it!

I'd buy an FF9 movie! I'm with Hollow on disliking some of the characters- although I didn't mind Garnet so much as Eiko and Zidane- but it was a fun game, and the story was interesting enough. My favorite character was Blank. ^^

No, I don't even know why they referred to Cloud as big brother because I'm not even sure if I really understood FF7's plot (most of it was wacky engrish, wasn't it?)

They called him AND Sephiroth 'brother' because they all have Jenova's cells in them.

i like the fight scene(hope correct spelling)of Loz and Tifa.but its quite sad that its a little bit short for me.but watever,i kinda like Loz a little bit.i think only kadaj can become sephiroth ONLY!should be.

Vincent shoes are quite to big,but this the second final fantasy movie i ever watch.i dont like cloud when his young,his cloths sucks!!I dont even know much of the characters name...i dont even know the girl with the big samurai star,the guy with a sword with a pokey end,and the red tiger and the cat behind it.so give me some detials about this characters i am talking about,and i only know barret and vincent.

Most people call it a lance.

The dude with a lance is Cid. The ninja chick with throwing stars is Yuffie(urge to kill....rising...). The Tiger is Red XIII, and the cat that rides him(I guess he substituted his robotic moogle for Red) is Cait Sith. The only important characters that are listed are Cid and Red XIII.

No one cares about non-canon party members like Yuffie and Cait!

Non-canonical party members..? What? I would understand if this meant secret characters, but last I checked Cait Sith wasn't a secret character.

That oughta be Vincent, Met. Not Cait. You know everybody who can beat monsters to a pulp with a megaphone is ubercool. You know it. You just might not realise.

That you cannot see them, doesn't mean they aren't there.

That you cannot see them might even be troubling.

You see, they gather during the night, performing their rituals and offerings to an totally mint, untouchded FF9 game, and commencing in bloody battles as to please their High God Zidane and his comrads.
