Eiji Aonuma has confirmed Sheik and Ganondorf in an interview with Game Informer.

"Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, they’ve had to tweak some of the designs."

Well, now we know. The speculation now, is, what will Ganondorf's moveset be like? We know clones are unlikely, and that Falcon will be returning as well. I guess only time will tell.

I imagine that Ganon's form will just be his Twilight Princess incarnation, like Link and Zelda. Sheik, though? That'll be something to see.

And if Ganon is indeed in his Twilight Princess form, I hope he'll be armed with that awesome glowing sword of his.

Agreed, the update was great, and I really do hope that Ganondorf has his sword from Twilight Princess, and his own moves.

I don't see how it proves D, Teej. Samus in the ship was only a cutscene - she would probably get her power suit on before she fought, would she not?

But this is one of the best updates ever, but all it did was spoil the fun of the 'This World' update, which I was hoping they'd leave us with until the game's launch. :[

The sidescroller looks cool and actually substantial this time, whereas SSBM had a few 2-D stages for platforming and the majority was just regular fights. I like the setup of this mode much better.

Maybe he was feeling like he needed to awesome off the end of the week for his birthday. :]

Yes, so far OoT's Ganon was the most menacing Ganon of them all. It didn't look much like a pig, but more like a demon.

Although they've already got a "Super-Powerful Giant Beast Transformation" for a Final Smash already...

Update time!

We have a new item. It's called the Smoke Ball.

That's... basically all it is. A smokescreen bomb, like the ones ninjas use.

But it's colorful!

And you can pick them up after they've been thrown and carry them around as they spew colored smoke and stuff into the air.

Lame. They don't even do damage if you hit someone with them.

Yeah, it was a bit of a let-down... I mean, people are going to get good enough to easily see through it anyway, so it's not like it'll have long-term advantages.

And a 1% hit that knocks back an enemy would have also helped it.

Okay, imagine item-control in it: Turn of everything but the smoke ball and max the drop rate. That stage is gonna be covered in smoke. That should be interesting.

i see a new special brawl mode (special melee like gaint or lightning melee, but this is Brawl so...)

any way next update:2 of Ike's special moves

Up special is Aether, and it looks a lot like in Path of Radiance, He throws his sword upwards, leaps to it, somersalts, and then a down slice. the nice thing is that Ike can't be flinched the moment he has no sword in hand

any one who has played a 2D Fire Emblem might recognize it as the Mercenary Criticl Hit

and his normal Special is Eruption, Ike thrusts his sowrd in the ground ann fire surrounds him, you can charge this one for more power.

Well, so much for him having a decent third jump. >_>

Not something I would necessariliy find fitting for a stage song...maybe his credits theme.

Palutena's Army

First the Goddess Palutena appears, then it is raining Centurions, charging at all the enemies on the screen

it's like an updated version of the Unown in SSBM, but then from all sides

I noticed something in one of the pictures. In the last one about Pit's special attack, where it shoes Ike, it looks like he's blocking. But I don't see a little glowing bubble thing. Does that mean people will block without bubbles in this one?
