I'm pretty sure that they're doing this on purpose, updating us on things we already know will be in it. >.>

Could be worse...it could've been a tutorial on how to plug in your controller or something trivial like that.
Edit: Also, this DOES put an end to all the Toad rumors. So I guess some good did come out of this update.
When you think about it, Peach is the only character whose down-b was specially mentioned in the update...I'm starting to think this was intentional by Sakurai. Not so much a "Guess what? PEACH IS IN!!" update, but a "Screw off, Toad's not happening" update -disguised- as Peach.

Mario can only use fireballs in his white/ red costume, which he does not wear in brawl...or any game for that SSB for that matter.
In his current clothing, all he does is jump.
OMG I CAN RUN AND JUMP.

He can also punch. He totally could punch and kick in Super Mario 64, I've got CANON proof.
But ROB is designed to play games automatically, and poorly. What would be his special ability? Mess up the opponent's controls?
