According to various sources, one of Fox's alt costumes is a Wolf O'Donnell recolor. Guess that means no Wolf!

And what sources would those happen to be?

"Via Gimpyfish - Samus has a dark suit red visor, Fusion suit, Sonic costumes are recolors of blue, Fox has a starwolf outfit. Diddy Kong has Dixie Kong outfit without the hair, Bowser has a golden costume, made out of gold."

Substatement: This also discredits speculation about Dixie Kong. Aw well.

Heh. And you all said that a Star-Wolf redesign for Fox wouldn't fly.

I certainly like it better than a dedicated character. They're too similar to validate that.

Here's hoping to...a secret, somehow hitherto-undiscovered Shadow costume for Sonic? I'll keep my fingers crossed. :x

Then again, Mario DOES still have his Wario costume. Of course that was there -before- Wario's inclusion, and Wario himself has his WarioWare garments on...eh I'm getting ahead of myself. I guess we'll just wait and see.

Maybe they'll replace the Wario outfit of Mario with a Dr. Mario outfit, or maybe even that weird bizarro-Mario thing that was in Mario Sunshine (sorry, never played the game so don't know what it's called).

I would think Shadow Mario is a nice idea; unfortunately I've already seen the yellow/purple palette swap on the character selection screen of someone's gameplay vid. I don't recall which, but it was still there. -_-;

Hey, don't give up hope. There's still quite a few months before the game comes out, after all. They might still replace, or have already been replaced since then.

According to the aforementioned source, Mario has Fire Mario as a palette swap. Mettaur is pleased.

Also, if you pause somewhere inbetween 1:01 and 1:02, you can see a metroid level. You have to pause it exactly right though, as it only shows up for like a 1/10 of a second.

Today's update is Peach's Final Smash.

It's called Peach Blossom. A flowery, pink frame surrounds the screen and Peach dances.

And everyone frickin' falls asleep.

At the end, there's a crapload of peaches on the ground to eat to regain health, and then you can beat the tar out of your opponents as they snooze.

^ The Metroid level is a recreation of Norfair, from Super Metroid, for the uninformed. Additionally, Samus's side B is now a super missile. Looks like they're going for a bit of a Super Metroid motif!

Sonic and Ike's Final Smashes look especially mean... nice find, Blazen.

Ike and Link easily have the most awesome Final Smashes, swordwise.

Well, Ike and Fox have easily the best final smashes I've seen. Ike just beats the crap out of the opponent, and Fox - well, who doesn't love running over people in a giant Landmaster tank? And it's also a functioning platform!

Stage: Pictochat

When I saw this, I thought "what?" but now I see - there's a flat stage on an "Entering [A]: (character)" box from pictochat, and then doodles are sketched on the screen to build the stage and add to the action. Kool.

i knew ZS Samus' Final Smash would return her suit, it's just obvious, in wonder what the name is however, "Chozo Spirits"?

Ike's = Ubercool
Link's = Ubercool

in that Pictochat stage it would have been nice when you could create your own stage in pictochat and put it in throught Wireless Connection THEN it would have been and uberstage

Actually I believe its the fusion suit (that's if my memory serves). Because it looks blue to me.

That is the Varia Suit with a Fusion Suit color scheme, actually. Not a bad look for the Varia Suit, in my opinion.

Yes, indeed, it said 'Brain Age: Train Your Brain In Minutes A Day'.

So, I'm guessing that there is going to either be a Brain Age stage or the professor dude is going to appear as an Assist Trophy.

I thought of that, also. I can't find the actual data but apparently Kawashima was a very popular choice in the character poll. We'll definitely see him, at least in assist trophy form.

Personally though, I think I'm gonna predict Mii as a playable character. And Wii-to-DS connectivity in some form.

What's Kawashima gonna do, hit you with math?
