It started out about 2 years ago as a simple fantasy story. It grew into a 3-part story, until now, as a 6/7-part story.

First of all, I need some character names. I'll do them one at a time for now:

"Serge" -- Name subject to change, I need some suggestions. At the beginning of the story he's a normal boy in a normal school. But certain events lead him to discovering his family's legacy. One with no clear beginning. Sent off into Earth's sister world to fight his family's old enemy. He soon learns that war is not a game. Defeating his enemy once around spurs his ego and makes him arrogant.

Arrogance, mixed with betrayal and external forces, begin a chain of events that start the greatest tragedy of the time, though not the worst of the events that come later. A dark entity torn from him, is born to serve as a another character's foil. Though the hero's arrogance is shattered, his indirect role in the bloodshed leaves him fear of his own power; A cowering mess of a pacifist.

Only through great loss is the warrior rekindled, stronger than ever. A pursuit for revenge takes place, though the results are not what were expected.

It's harder to explain this next part: Suffice it to say that the hero gives up much of his power, and his life. Though the latter is not in the literal sense.

An old grudge is rekindled, as a long-dead enemy reveals a terrible secret, and succeds in besting the hero physically, and by dealing the worst emotional blow possible. Floating through and endless void, he comes to terms with his demons once and for all, and follows in pursuit. Dealing with more demons, this time in flesh, he and the foe have one epic battle upon the fields of an ancient battleground where they both have much history. One winner is left with an uncertain fate.

That's more or less what his story is. I've left some detail vague just to be a little safe.

Wow Mega I did not know you were such a good writer! The long-dead enemy could have the name, Palicous because it sounds like a cool demon.

How about simply "Ven" as in "Vendetta" for the name of the old enemy, and something like "Christophorus" or "Maximillian" for the name of one of the important men in Serge's family.
For Serge's allies (if any), "Victor" or "Victoran", "Lance", "Ken", "Sophia", "Jules", "Xandres".

I recommend Seventh Sanctum if you want random names. Usually, though, I name people based on things like religion, mythology, etc.

Ah, yes, mythology. Very good. Achilles might be a good one. Or Chiron. And what about names like Thor, Loki, and Sphinx?

Ven is a bit short of a name for said villian, although I could certainly think of another character who that would be nice for.

Anyway, "Serge"'s father is going to have a fairly common name, but I've settled on the name of one of Serge's ancestors. Think of an elderly mage, he's called "Thayus".

Anyway, there's one layer of history between the hero and the villian, caused by the story, but I'm thinking of adding another layer. What I'm thinking of doing is implying a connection between the two that spans deeper. A 3 thousand year vendettta.

But I like Xandres. I really do. Since I've been ripping my names off of games and anime that I've liked, I've named a character "Lavitz" based off his his inspiration, but I like Xandres a whole lot more.
