Hyper Beam is the worst move. Period.

Pal Park is the area that allows you to transfer from old games, allowing you to get pokemon you've owned in any of the advance generation.

I'm talking competitive here...as in, playing with other, living people. Hper Beam's recharge ruisn the entire attack as a whole. This leaves time for opponents to choose a devastating pokemon one turn during recharge, and then hit you with a fast attack afterwards, more or less KO'ing you.

So I'm guessing you also frown on Roar of Time? I find the move useful, but only if it can finish the job and Dialga's ready to defend like heck.

And Hyper Beam isn't worth it. At all.

Dialga has a decent base defense, and as a legendary, has a few bonuses to back it up. While Roar of Time is still a so-so move, it doesn't suck nearly as hyper beam. :P

Ah, I noticed today that Dialga's Sp.Def is much lower than his Defense. Time to crack the bank on some stat boosters - Dialga could get owned pretty bad with that kind of weakness.

Hyper beam stinks, and also what I've seen of Giga mpact isn't very good - it appears to me as just a physical remake of Hyper Beam - is it stronger at all? The Champ's Garchomp is put in a hole by it.

Hyper Beam is bad, simply because it's normal and wastes a turn. Any typed HB equivalents are better, because it's pretty much a OHKO smash. (Ex: a Curselax smashed on turn one by someone with Focus Blast is deep-sixed without much trouble.) Granted, not many will survive the counter attack from the next pokemon. But that's why you plan ahead. It's the same concept behind a self-destructer: a last ditch move to round out a set for when you're about to die.

^Since your using both Typhlosion and Infernape, I hope you have some sort of advantage there? Like say, GRASS ROPE? >__>

And while the Elemental Hyper Beams are last-ditch movves, the pokemon they go one (Starters) have so much more potential with other movesets that you wouldn't want to waste a spot in the moveset.

If you WANT a last ditch move, it's always wise to go with Explosion, because you have more options on the pokemon (Gengar, Metagross) that could actually do SOMETHING with it. You lose a pokemon with explosion, yes, but you also don't lose a turn.

Wouldn't that depend on Nature? I mean, if he had an Adamant Typhlosion or some other Atk+ nature, wouldn't he want it for Thunderpunch (given the EVs take advantage of that)?

I'm beginning to dislike all the Sinnoh starters on a whole - their type differences don't give them much more of an advantage: Empoleon loses its resistance to fire, and picks up a weakness to Infernape's Fighting. Infernape is the same as Blaziken, so all the R/S/E players will already be geared up to beat that out. Torterra just sucks - ups that 2x Ice weakness to 4x just by evolving. :|

Base Stats: ATK: 84 Sp. ATK: 109

Max tats (Beneficial, Max IV's/ EV's) ATK: 293 SP: 295

But keep in mind that EV's/IV's are neigh impossible to have maximum amounts of, especially when your aiming for a beneficial nature.

Okay Teej, I understand -what- Ev's are, but how does one use them? Is there some sort of special way to do it or what? Not that I particularly care for breeding Pokemon to be super-killers or anything, but it's nice to know that I -can-. And besides, if anyone decides to play with me, they can ditch the elite destruction techniques Teej is talking about. I'm not a hacker, I'm a regular dude who makes the Pokemon's level go up. :P

Reality swirled in a wholly blue manner, revealing absolutely nothing of merit. Things flashed madly in and out of existence like some entirely other sort of phenomena. On a whim, Kurt Vonnegut imploded, taking a sizeable hunk of Massachusetts with him. However, seeing as Massachusetts wasn't entirely sure it existed, the chunk wasn't all that big.

EV's are nothing more than hidden stats...so they make your pokemon go faster, become stronger, etc. >__>

The easiest way to level up EV's are by hatching a level 1 pokemon, then pumping your desired drugs (Stat enhancers) into it to get a maximum of a 100 point stat increase before even reaching level 2.

Simple enough if you don't care about antures and breeding, M I RITE?

Hey, by the by, if anyone has a Shaymin they'd like to trade me, I'm willing to trade Shiny Kyogre, Regigigas, up to 2 Jirachi, and as many Turtwig as you want for it. I can get you just about any non shiny, really, because people seem to be going mad over Turtwig. I don't get it either, but hey. I have Uxie and Mesprit too, as well as Heatran and Cresselia. I will not trade my Azelf. I traded my Dialga for a long chain ending up with a Jirachi and a Level 100 Metagross.

In fact, if anyone wants to make bids on those, go nuts. But the main reason I made this post is because I've been having a problem with the GTS. Today at around 9 AM, I posted up a level 5 Jirachi for trade with a Level 50 or higher Palkia. Problem is, it's been fizzling on me-- that is, I'll check once, and it won't recognize I deposited and and have the deposited pokemon option instead. I'll check later, and it will be back. The last time I saw it was at 2 PM, and it hasn't been there since. Any suggestions, comments, ideas? o_o
And I noticed a huge influx of shiny Palkia up for trade last night, obviously illegitimate, and if anyone cares to check this for me, go to Garchomp, Male Only, and see if you get a Spiritomb listed as a Garchomp as one of your options. The offer is Spiritomb: Any, but It always says it's been traded to another trainer. It's been there near 24 hours now, and it seems to be similar to a Turtwig listed as Abra I saw last night too. Any ideas on that? Possible links on the two issues?

Cloning Glitch (Quoted from another website.)

Quote:
I am assuming you already know the glitch. If you are like me, you probably spent a good few hours on this glitch and only got it to work a handful of times. You probably heard "wait 7.5 to 8 revolutions" or something of the sort. You probably heard, "get as far away from your router as possible." Well, those are both wrong, in fact you want to be able to see your router while you're doing this.

Anyway, first lets look at your router.(if you're using the Nintendo WiFi USB adapter then I"m sorry) I'm using a Linksys Wireless Router, I don't know the exact model off hand but its fairly new. If you have one then great. Anyway, there are three lights on that router. A steady green one on the left, a green light in the middle, and a green light that is always stuttering way on the right.(and id you want to be nitpicky, an orange one that lights up the Linksy's symbok)

What do these lights mean? Well, they are all unimportant to be honest, except the middle light, that is the one that is important, and if I recall correctly it's called WLAN, though I'm not 100% on that, I'm too lazy to get up and check right now. The name doesnt matter, in due time you will know what I'm talking about.

You may notice the light in the middle periodically blinking. That light basically blinks when ever data gets sent out or comes in from your router. Go ahead, test it out. When ever you click a link you'll notice this light blinks. Seriously, try it, refresh this page. Hit F5, you'll notice the light blinks every time you hit F5. It also blinks when ever you send an IM or recieve one. That's your computer recieving and sending out data to where ever. Get used to that blinking, because thats what you need to watch.

I disconnected all computers from the router to do this, if you have other people in your house using the computer or seeding torrents, then I am sorry, this just wont work for you. Go back to guessing at 7.0-8.5 revolutions. If you disconnect all computers from the router and notice the light is still blinking then that means you have some pesky neighbors, go get a hacker friend and brick their rig.

So, the only thing using my router was my DS. First of all, set up the glitch like normal and test out the blinking. Use a Bidoof. Choose your Bidoof, then the gender, then the level... after choosing the level its going to prompt you "Yes or No" hold it right here, this is where you're going to want to watch the light. After hitting yes this is where you'd usually start counting the revolutions. Instead, look at your router and hit yes. The instant you hit Yes you'll notice the light will blink, this is you sending out data. Well, about 10 to 15 seconds later you'll notice the light start blinking again, this is Nintendo pinging you back. Right after the light stops blinking, you'll notice the trade is going through. You can try this over and over again and you'll notice I'm right, and if you see blinks in between then, well something is sending out data using your router, its that simple.

Well, here's what you want to do to get the cloning glitch to work. Put your trade in, where you'd normally start counting revolutions watch your router like a hawk, you're going to have to not blink for about 15 seconds, so good luck. When you see the router blink for the second time, turn your DS off. You pretty much want to press the power button while the light is blinking and you want the power to be off before the light stops blinking, you have literally maybe a 25 millisecond window. I'd imagine this is easier with a DS light because you can just flick the switch down and not even look at your DS.

If you turn off the DS right when the light starts blinking then its safe to say you cloned your pokemon. If you see the "your save file has been corrupted" message, then I can almost garuntee this trick worked for you(granted you powered down right when the light started blinking). If you come back and do not see the corrupted file, then that means you were too slow and the trade went thru. It's as simple as that.

Can't turn off all the computers or stop your sisters from using the internet? Well, there is hope for you. I suggest, counting revolutions again. Count 7 revolutions then shoot your gaze to your router, the next time that light blinks turn your **** off, it will probably work, infact, I look at the revolutions even when I cut everyone off just so I can blink.

If you have any questions, I will be glad to help. And yes, I read this some where else, I'm only elaborating on what I heard.

So that's why they're rewiring the system? It sounds simple enough to foil that plot, just alternate sendings or force some sort of reversion on a corrupted trade. Something similar to how you're forced to send datat when doing WiFi battle tower before you can fight again.

And as for the Jirachi, the trade must have gone through when I wasn't looking, because I was showing off my Pokčmon collection to one of my cousin's neighbors and I found a level 100 Palkia stowed away. :D
