Eh, Tengu Man still rocks.

And Faltzer is indeed easy. Greiga, however, keeps you busy and moving around all the time. He always manages to nail me with his breath attack.

And Aim, just use a Breaking or Cursor element cross or whatever Slash Cross is weak to.

Not necessarily, since trains have engines that let off steam through burning coal in a furnace. Or something.

Shouldn't he be a break type though? Honestly Chargeman, he could and should be a train that breaks through stuff.

Actually, Dranz, he DOES. His element is just mainly Fire, though he does break through stuff. A Break/Fire element, actually.

I don't think they have the break element anymore. They did an overhaul of that system for BN6. They ended up with 8 elements and 10 Crosses. That's why you get the doubling up.

The Break element is still there. The ones from BN5 that left are Stealth, Healing, Object and Plus/Minus.

I think DustMan is Breaking.

This seems a nice topic to ask my question. I'm confused. Some people call it Griega and the box says Gregar. Are those different? Please someone help my problem of understandment.

Greiga was the japanese name. Most of us just like it better than Gregar.

I barely put any thought into it before buying. I checked which crosses were in which games, and I decided that the wolf just pwns the bird. Needless to say, I picked up Greiga, and I'm QUITE happy with my decision. I have not died once using Megaman yet, but I did a couple times using some of the link navis(Such as Chargeman, he's too different from the way I play with Megaman). I haven't beaten it yet.

Oh, and say you bought Greiga, but you wanted the floatshoes that Falzar has, just install the navicustomizer program to get it, that's what I did, and I even get floatshoes when I'm not in b(r)east-out!

Greiga. Pwns.

Object still exists. Chips such as Guardian and Timebomb are still of that element. Also, DustMan is Object type. Groundman is breaking. ChargeMan is just fire element so far as elemental damage goes, although that is strange. That seems to make SpoutCross overly potent.

By the way guys, I just learned that GroundCross is way better than I originally thought. It completely destroys Protoman. I've almost S Ranked

Spoiler (click to toggle)
Protoman PZ

But I've only got a 10 on him so far. :P At any rate, like I said, this game seems bizarrely less difficult than the earlier ones.

If Greiga is japanese for Gregar whats Falzar japanese name? Is it me or is this games easy. I have falzar, but I beat it less than 4 days when I got it. Even Bass seems easier. With Tenguman I didnt beat him but I got Bass's HP down to 436. All the other link navis did ok except spoutman. Is Gregar harder than Falzar? I might buy the other one too. Just like I did with team protoman and colonel.

I think Falzar's Japanese name was Faltzer, maybe?

Reportedly, Falzar is easier than Greiga. I gotta say though, even Greiga was pretty simple. The difficulty really fizzed out in this latest one... like, hardly either one is "you're not going to get hit" easy, but if you've formed any strategy at this point you can probably take them.

I have to diagree, I found Falzer maybe 1 notch harder than greiga, but Greiga was like a lifevirus-easy gospel. To be honest, I had more fun fighting Livevirus than Greiga. Falzer is about, in between Alpha and Gospel for difficulty.

Heatman.EXE your right. Falzar is like Larkman. TOO PREDICTABLE! I hardly have to use beast out when I fight him. Dranzer your totaly right. Falzar is weaker then Alpha. Cybeasts arent that strong. They should be ashamed for being weak.

Ahh, how very many "which one" threads I answer...

Okay, here's my thoughts: Capcom got smart this time and made it a battle of taste in games than "OooOOOooh - dat wun wooks cooler!!" SO... generally speaking, Gregar is for those who desire flat-out power, and Falzar is for those who plan strategically.

Gregar is based towards power-players. The Crosses like Heat, Elec, and Erase all cover one row but can do considerable damage. The LinkNavis themselves are more often prone to element weakness found in many viruses, and their charge shots don't cover much - yet they pack a serious punch.

Spoiler (click to toggle)
The BigHook and ColForce GigaChips are also based on power - BigHook does strong, undodgeable damage (w/o Invis) and ColForce just blasts the tar out of people.

Falzar is bent toward a more strategy note, seeing as the Ground and Tengu Crosses both have the most bold strategic appeal - Ground's charge shot dives under enemy attacks and counters with its own; Tengu pulls enemies in for a WindRack hit. The linknavis here are less prone to element defeat and their attacks may not be the strongest, but they can be combined with others to become devastating.
Spoiler (click to toggle)
This is Falzar's ultimate strategic key - the HubBatc GigaChip. Tired of a cramped NaviCust? Fear no more! This chip maxes out your buster and custom screen, and gives you undershirt, shield, flotshoe, and airshoes to boot! Nifty, huh?

Regarding last bosses:
Spoiler (click to toggle)
Gregar is quick in the sense that he keeps the attacks coming, but his main moves leave him open for counter. Falzar avoids counterattack opportunities, but is slower on the attack-dishing. IMO, both bosses have crosses that own them and are easy once their patterns are known. Their SP forms should be tougher, though.

*Bump*

Actually, I'm kind of contemplating if I shoud buy any version of this game or not. If I do, knowing me, I'll get them both.

I just figured, well, it's the last MMBN Game (supposebly), it's got newer features, the fighting is less annoying and Mega Man gets a l33t upgrade.

So, would anyone recommend this? Not just as a Megaman fan, but, maybe as a true RPG gamer, inlight of this final chapter to MMBN?

In light of those magazine scans for Shin Rockman-EXE, I'd say this is hardly the last BN game. But if you're a fan, you still owe it to yourself to try it out.
