It makes me mad, Real mad :mad:!! I was asleep about 12 seconds, then the stupid mosquito lands on and bit me on my face, i woke up fast and i got beserk, then i try to kill the mosquito, but it flew away, and now i'm mad :mad:!! From now on, i want revenge to kill the mosquitos :mad:!!

This is the problem with your posting... you don't give others a reason to join the conversation, except to get mad at you. You should add things like... "are the mosquitos bad where you live?", or, "how do you avoid mosquito bites?" instead of just going into a short, gramatically-apalling rant that isn't even worthy of Livejournal.

I once squished a mosquitoe in my sock. In return I got a bloody sock which I ended up throwing away. >_>;;

I just don't like mosquitos, you should watch out for the them, when the mosquito land on your arm, just smash it before it bites, i don't know when that came from. You should hate it. Sorry, i was out of control in my emotion.

Coco how about going outside every once in a while. If you do, you'll get bit enough to the point of not caring. Like me. =/ Who needs bug spray? Meh I wore sun tan lotion that contained bug spray and yet they still bite.

A mosquito bit me on the bare foot! It was so annoying! I've was rubbing my foot against carpet to itch it so often, I almost got rug burn . What kind of misquito bites you on the foot? Honestly?! Of all places, it had to pick the most annoying spot.

It's funny because Coco spelled it right, but Morph didn't. That's irony for ya.

But yeah, they suck. At least the females do. The males only feed on nectar. Hopefully you have a couple dragonflies around, since they eat mosquitoes. And if you have Toxorhynchites (which is a different type of mosquito) they won't bite you, but their larvae will eat the mosquito larvae it if can find it.

Wait a minute, my brother told about the mosquito hawk, i like mosquito hawks, they don't bite people, they eat mosquitos. Here.

Yeah, and there are also Musquito Hawk Hawks, who eat them.

We seen it in germany, it kinda ugly long-leg wiggly insect.

I hate any and all bugs except for a select few. I only make an exception for Dragon flies/Danzel flies, fireflies, Lady Bugs, and Butterflies. Anything else, I HATE!

But if I get bit by a mosquitoe I just really don't care. What's done is done. I shall hold no grudge. =/

On a side note, Coco is probably American, whereas I am not.

Yay me and my great understanding of foreign languages that it surpasses that of some of those who live in the countries where they are spoken commonly.

If you hate mosquitos try going to a boot camp run by and ex-marine ,on the coast of lake erie for a week with only a screen door and no big repellant. Seriously, take your angst to somewhere that it isn't spamming up the board, coco.

The mosquitos apologize for making you a teensy bit itchy so they can acquire the daily sustainance they need to stay alive. Poor you. e.e

Keep in mind, that while to us it's just annoying, in a good part of the world, it can be very dangerous.

Does anybody think its possible for humans to make a dasiese to kill all mosquitos. If so that would be helpful. Dont you think?

Logic? She's doesn't have to be right. A certain strain of virus could be made that only harms the mosquito family, but uh... the trouble comes in keeping the virus from mutating into a strain that could kill other insects.

Getting rid of all mosquitoes would be an absolutely horrible idea. There are many species of birds, and beneficial insects that feed mainly or solely on mosquitoes, one of those being the chimney swift, one of the fastest birds in the air. Many fish and amphibians also feed off the aquatic larvae of the mosquitoes. It wouldn't be ecologically sound to wipe out a whole family of insects.

Mosquitoes can't give you diseases if they don't bite.. so.. instead of killing them, we could take the safer, less expensive route of keeping them from biting us. Skin-so-Soft has a bitter flavor, and does an excellent job of preventing fly and mosquito bites. To cut down their numbers is as simple as getting rid of stagnant water... don't leave water sitting in old tires and other such things, that's where the mosquitoes like to lay their eggs. It's really that simple.

Essentially the extinction of any animal causes widespread chaos. No doubt the ecosystem would eventually adapt to exist without them, but it's better not to get involved in that whole business.

It's better to prevent mosquitos from annoying you rather than waste your energy to commit mass genocide.

Now... ticks. Those are far more annoying than mosquitos. >=/

And they not only make you itch, but they also make a really annoying buzzing sound next to your ear.
