Having tried the first level (thank you so much ForteXX), I have to say the good run of games isn't over yet. Seeing as the American version isn't even out yet, we shouldn't be judging it yet either.
X did need a collection. Saying that ends a good run of games isn't a good statement - It's a compilation of old games, thus having nothing to do with the new games.
You're missing my point. What I hoped for was that the coming games would still show some quality out of the ordinary. The X Collection is good, yes, but it could have been much better. In a similar way, ZX's voices should be translated in English.
Wait, WHAT? They cut the English voice acing? Well, that COULD be good... like an animated cutscene, for instance:
Vent: I'll kill you, Serpent! *lips flap, forming unintelligble words*
But for just dialogue boxes... ohh, man!
"MZ: Why was the English voice acting cut from ZX? The voice acting in X8 was great, and the artists were chosen well... although a
girl played Lumine-
KI: Lumine? Where!? Do you see herhim, Ronnie?
MZ: Back to the voice acting in ZX...
KI: Ohh, simple - we don't speak English.
MZ: Wait, then how are we interviewing you?
KI: You're turning Japanese - I really think so.
MZ: Not that song... OMG I'm outa here...
KI: Yeah I think yer turning Japanese, I think yer turning Japanese, I really think so! ...do you think so, Ronnie?"

And about X Collection, I guess you're right. I dunno - the extras are a bit hard to unlock, and for some, a bit stupid (beat X6 with Zero, getting everything for him, then do the same with X, or something like that - whathuh?), and the remixed music tracks - some being the most obscure tracks of X3, but the Zero theme and Sigma tracks were good - just too few. And for remixes, they sounded almost the same. When you want a song remixed, you want a new sounding song, not an updae of the old one, that still sounds the same. Also, I thought it'd be like - X1tracks; X2tracks; X3tracks; X4... and so on as the selection, with a few songs from each game. I guess not...
But CM rocked, and could be the base fot the X9 we want so darn bad... (Imagine using the Ultimate Armor's rapid-fire Nova Strikee on Lumine - with realistic Wii controls! OMG!)
